I have read many negative comments about the guests, although the show hasn't even taken place yet. Does that mean we're going to see a weak performance? :shock: ;) Sorry, I'm tired of reading excuses and explanations as to why a particular performance was not good / will be good / whatever...

Thats just what the show asks artists like Meat to do recently.

Wetten Dass seems to have changed the schedule for the German release of HIAHB. It might have changed Pattis schedule too...

This very last Wetten Dass show with host Thomas Gottschalk is a perfect fit: Meat gets to present his new single (at least parts of) and Wetten Dass gets to revisit its own history, their famous "kiss".

You're obviously right. :? I did a video search and found more medleys than I expected. (Haven't watched the show for a long time so that unfortunate development has escaped me so far.) Good Lord, even Justin Bieber did one. :shock: Hopefully Lenny will perform an entire song.

scratch that, after looking at it again, it was from the Tonight Show appearance back when, my bad.

I don't see Patti's name listed with the performers for the SAS Band show anymore. Maybe she's now performing with Meat in Germany.
I don't want to see Anything For Love without Patti. She's also great in You Took the Words. YTTW sounded really great at the AFL Finals in Australia.

But if it IS to be a medley he might just sing part of the song anyway. There's two verses before it becomes a duet. Or we could wait and see ..

I checked out a couple of medleys that have been performed on Wetten, dass..? in recent years. They were about four minutes long.

But it doesn't work as a solo song…

I agree. The duet part is the hook of the song and Meat & Patti perform it so brilliantly.

I didn't suggest it would be people's preference. I just said it would be perfectly possible to sing part of the song in a medley without involving the duet.

And if as Sarge says the medley is normally 4 minutes long, to include AFL and have anything else in at all, the song would have to be severely shortened.

Absolutely. YTTW was awesome at the AFL Finals. Most of Anything for Love was awesome too, except Meat couldn't hear the music. But this time he will and it will be amazing. It's a great idea to perform 2 big hits and the new song. I can't wait to hear it.
