I live in West London but i work in South Kensington which is easy to get to Theres nearly always a solution to hair problems its just trying out a few different things!!

MissAsh 28 Feb 2009 21:17

Talking of hairdressers reminds me, mine really needs trimmed. Only problem is, every hairdresser I've been to since my hair got to waist length & longer thinks that "a trim, no more than 1-2 inches off" actually means "please chop 5+ inches off"!
Think I'll just wait 'til I'm next at my Mum's and get her to do it...

I know how you feel...I had it long for years (which I don't like) so I could tie it back after hairdresser disaster after hairdresser disaster. Finally I have found somebody who CAN cut my hair quite well... the only problem now is that sometimes we disagree and he'll usually do what HE wants...

Yes, when I say my hairdresser usually does what HE wants, I have the opposite problem you do - for some strange reason, he likes my hair, and always thinks it should be longer than I want it!

the best solution to your split end problem probably involves the use of scissors to remove the split ends through the process of a haircut, but i'm no expert :-)

I know. I was in a group of paranoid schizophrenics at a pantomime in December. It all went fine till someone shouted "He's behind you!".

I've got a feeling I told this one before, but never mind ... :-)

Alright...so today we had a history in the making on the American Idol...we had Anything For Love for the first time...

Yeah...

Paula called it Boy George version of the song...it was pretty accurate...she also said something to the tune of...I love Mick Loaf...or something...cause everybody jumped to correct her on that...so...well...

I thought it was pretty funny...and it's probably going to be on youtube soon...look it up if you get a chance and want a good laugh...

American Idol is repeated over here in the UK on a Sunday morning on one of the ITV channels I think. Based on your comments Zina, I think I'll be out when it's on ;-)

One of my colleagues came back from London on the train yesterday and heard this announcement as they left Euston Station

Quote:

Please note that those on coach G, there are two coach Gs. The first coach G is coach G. The second coach G is actually coach F. Coach F, the second coach G, is the quiet coach, where use of mobile phones is not permitted. Phones are permitted on coach G, unless you are on the second coach G."

daveake 06 Mar 2009 12:49

. The announcer needs some training on clear English; I lost track about half-way through.

Dave

mszee 06 Mar 2009 13:57

I've noticed that on most trains and airplanes/airports announcement is VERY clear until it is something important...

Attention all passengers: please watch carefully your belongings. Unattended luggage will be taken away (or something of that nature) - VERY CLEAR...

Next:

Passengers flying on flight number &*()_)+*(&^% may we please have you attention...because of the ^&*)_++)(&^^ your flight is ^%&()_+)*&

So...I think this is interesting...

Leonard Cohen announced one special concert for the fans back in February at Beacon theater...tickets never even showed up anywhere for general audience...within minutes tickets were available at fan site, e-bay, etc for hundreds and even thousands of dollars...

Guess fans were not happy because the announcement came out that this is not a tour yet, tour is coming up, this was a special date for fans only...still not being happy fans got themselves additional 2 dates in May at Radio City Hall...but still with pre-sale for fans and American Express members only...so again...what to do???

So...why not become a fan? What does it take to get a password for fan club pre-sale? Nothing...you just go to the fan club (it's free) page and they post openly a password there available to anybody who is interested...so...we have our tickets!!! Interesting pre-sale though...
