Escalation calls today...about as much fun running into a brick wall while singing westlife songs...if it's something you really want to do.

allrevvedup 11 May 2009 22:08

On another note 1-1 newcastle and middlesbrough, the 6 pointer as they call it.

On another note the gym is too full at 5 in the evening, have to start going at 6.30 in the morning instead

welllllllllll, im often unimpressed with new technology as its usually over hyped and doesn't deliver a big enough step forward for the additional cost (at launch)... hence i wasn't impressed with mp3 players, sky +, sky hd, blu ray etc.... but...

im well impressed with led tv's... forget your lcd, forget your plasmas... if you can... go led!!!

Pudding 12 May 2009 01:50

OH NO!!! Katie Price (aka Jordan) and Peter Andre have split  Just when I thought the media was getting over filling the pages full of shit over one fake celebrity, it's now going to be filling the pages full of shit over two.

Having various examples of both in my house, I have to say I prefer the plasma.... the picture's definitely better.... of course, the fact that it's on a 48" screen might have something to do with it...

Russian Napoleon cake is the best cake in the world!!! Yours looks right - I think Russians do it mostly in a square/rectangle form to make it easier...I was never into it but my cousins make fantastic ones...on the other hand...we have a Russian bakery here...lol...

mszee 17 May 2009 18:45

So I went to Leonard Cohen's concert yesterday...packed Radio City Hall! I wouldn't bore anybody with long reviews but it was absolutely fantastic and nobody sings his songs like Leonard Cohen!

And here are his lyrics that fell into my heart and I want to share with all of you...

"Ring the bells that still can ring
Forget your perfect offering...
There is a crack, a crack in everything -
That's how the light gets in."

A little sad to see him sort of frail-ish...I mean...he is 76 years old...but voice rang out through the entire venue as it used to...and it's rather large venue...band was fantastic...multiple instruments for everybody...one back up singer even played harp...and I haven't known but he had a co-writer for some of his songs and she was there too...beautiful voice...
