RAH is only 4 more days away!

:yay: !

needmoremeat 12 Oct 2006 10:56

Phew, just learned I don't need to do a shorthand module at uni! There are times you get told you need to take it, other times you don't need to take it and you get all irritated wondering how badly it'll affect your timetable and therefore chance of getting a job...
But, all sorted now!

Rockette 12 Oct 2006 11:01

Is thinking before posting no longer a pre-requisite for the forum? Jeesh!

needmoremeat 12 Oct 2006 11:15

Mam wasn't very happy yesterday when I asked if we could go to the Tate modern on Tuesday when we're in London so I can play on those slides. She said I didn't want to go to the other Tate to see the Holbein paintings the day after the concert! I had said it would be rather boring looking at pictures the day after seeing Meat!:lmao: Going down a five floor slide at 30mph, however......:lmao:

SW31 12 Oct 2006 11:43

me too calling in before train home weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee watch for the bump at the end

firefly 12 Oct 2006 13:12

Hi there Sean. Your up early this morning! So what do you think of my cross stitch picture of MEAT? It's looking really fab , don't you think? I can't wait until all of the waistcoat is done. Nearly finished.I think he'll like it when he see's it. I might even post a picture of it on this site.:D

MeatGrl1 12 Oct 2006 13:21

Still can't wait!
:yay:!

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 14:08

I´ll buy IACBTMN tomorrow :cheer:

mszee 12 Oct 2006 14:09

My thoughts for today...when the boss is away...employees can play!

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 14:13

in the land without boss the employee is king (or even queen), eh?

mszee 12 Oct 2006 14:15

In the land of the Pigs...MSZEE IS A QUEEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Benny 12 Oct 2006 14:21

mszee 12 Oct 2006 16:31

I find it interesting that Fight Club forum never took off...it seems like letting people do what they want to do takes away something from the forbidden fruit...hmmm...

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 17:17

dont you hate it, when you write something very important (and time intensve) and your computer crashes?

allrevvedup 12 Oct 2006 17:54

yep...but if you wouldve used a pen and paper rj there wouldn't have been a crash!

mszee 12 Oct 2006 17:56

*Wonders what pen and paper is...*

allrevvedup 12 Oct 2006 18:02

the pen is mightier then the sword and paper usually beats rock in scissors rock, paper...on that note...to the chatroom!

allrevvedup 12 Oct 2006 18:05

probably be no one in there though

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 18:24

but I´m writing on a PC, not a rock!

mszee 12 Oct 2006 18:27

I am at work...chatrooms are difficult...it's too big and too blue...will see if I can get there at some point...

I want to write on the rock...I want to be primitive...I want to be a pre-historic woman when all feelings for you were expressed by clubbing you on the head and dragging you off into the bushes...

I want that kind of simplicity...we've come a long way...and in reality...we regressed horribly...

allrevvedup 12 Oct 2006 18:31

whacking men over the head and dragging them into the bushes...isn't that how marriages start?!

2. If it's a woman...sleep with her...
3. If it's a man...ummm...oh go ahead and destroy...

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 20:10

why not vice versa?

RadioMaster 12 Oct 2006 20:21

republicans in america are not comparable with republicans of other countries at all. They´re way more liberally than here.

We´ve got parties who want to get back the borders of Germany from 1945 and the main point in their program is to abolish the constitution.........

most definately, they're evil

L96 14 Oct 2006 01:07

RIGHT! I'LL TRY THIS AGAIN.

I have had some revelations!

1) Some people have a high libido when ill. This could be a huge breakthrough in the Freudian school of thought for behavioural psychology, after suitable research.

2) Maturity. Growing up, settling down. It's not marriage, or mortgage, or or anything like that. You know your wild days are past when you contemplate buying a suitcase.

3) It's not rocket science. A prerequisite of manufacturing paper bags is to HAVE PAPER. What the hell is wrong with the guy in stores/supplies? Maybe it's time he bought a suitcase.

4) I realise workers need to be looked after, and having them work in extreme heat is not ideal. Surely, though, there MUST be a better way of cooling them down. Seriously. What type of moron installs industrial strength fans in a paper bag factory??

And on an entirely unrelated topic, my calves itch.

Edit: they don't itch anymore. Now it's my shins.

mszee 14 Oct 2006 01:12

Go and get drunk...things might make more sense then

L96 14 Oct 2006 01:14

Some things make sense.

It's 8:45 am, I am thinking of beer already, and I have to go and buy a suitcase. God, I feel old. :-(

mszee 14 Oct 2006 01:15

Alright...I was judging by my time which 7:10 pm...

Buying suitcases is fun I think...doesn't make you old...makes you ready for adventure...

L96 14 Oct 2006 01:24

With all due respect, I disagree. I've travelled my whole life with either a backpack, or a bloody great tote bag. Suddenly, 7 pairs of socks and 3 tshirts isn't enough for a big holiday, and rummaging through crumpled clothes seems a pain in the arse, rather than just something you do when travelling.

Hence the need for a suitcase, and the sign that maturity approaches. :-(

mszee 14 Oct 2006 01:34

Well, I disagree...I always had suitcases...does it mean I am mature?

I am STILL NOT mature and never will be...although I have suitcases and designer clothes...things material do not make a man...or a woman for that matter....

JanT 14 Oct 2006 02:01

It's gone midnight, should I turn my hifi up just one more notch or will it be too loud for the neighbours:??:

mszee 14 Oct 2006 02:02

SW31 14 Oct 2006 02:06

roo 14 Oct 2006 10:07

good morning all:-)

RadioMaster 14 Oct 2006 11:35

OK folks,
after my post from yesterday was deleted here once again:

I went from school directly to our nearest record store (in the mall) and they didnt have the IACBTMN single. So I went to the secord record store in the mall and they didnt have it either. :(

So today I drove to the city and went to a department store with a huge cd corner, and they didnt have it either. So I asked the girl who was sorting the new singles and albums for the new Meat Loaf single. And she said it´s already sold out

I was nearly at the point of giving up.
I had to decide if I drive home again and buy it through Amazon or if I was going to the biggest record store in town.
I was tired of searching for it so I wanted to go home, but I looked at my watch, and saw that there was still much time.
So I went to the big record store in the city, I was searching through all of their cds, and then, row 2, under "M" I found a familiar cover: it was IACBTMN! the last single that they had, I bought it, now it´s sold out there too.

:yay:

I have to say all three songs IACBTMN, BB and W sound much better than all the internetradio or other versions that we´ve heard yet.

I really like this song now!!:cheer:

JanT 14 Oct 2006 12:17

I'm waiting patiently for the album, I don't have storage space for singles anymore, not with having three teenagers in the house.

Very simple...say what it is...you always thought of him as a friend...and never had any other feelings or ideas...and that you would hate to loose him as a friend...and if he really has feelings...you will not loose him...but if he doesn't...then it was never worth it...

JanT 15 Oct 2006 00:47

ChoccyBat 15 Oct 2006 01:18

From a bloke's perspective (who did the very same thing as your friend has) the key is to make it clear. It is better to be honest and upfront, rather than make excuses that leave him feeling their is still the possibility. Honesty is always best in the long run!

mszee 15 Oct 2006 01:20
