You already know if I come there will be a drink or two from me to you...maybe I even throw an odd meal at you...like pie or something...

Dunno...the idea is very very fetus like...August? Would you and yours be around? Loved your family and would love to see them again! You're definitely adopted!

In many ways I am a planner...in other ways I am like Jonty....i.e. I start planning months ahead but then actually do something about it much later...

allrevvedup 16 Mar 2010 18:09

I'm sure I'll be somewhere in August:D

No should be around. The weather should be reasonable then, which means only a few days of rain and cloud!

You thinking of just Dublin or trying different places? You could go to Jontyland (better than disney):-P

If we'll go it probably will be top to bottom or bottom to top...whichever is cheaper...

Jontyland is probably scary and populated with Jonty Clowns...don't want to imagine that but if Jonty isn't there because he is never wherever he is...there is still Carl and Dympna and possibly some other Duke peoples...

What does it mean in English "no should be around"? No, I won't be around or yes, I should be around?

allrevvedup 16 Mar 2010 19:19

It should have said

"No, (I) should be around"

Just got through the Mother Courage download...I need special atmosphere to listen to CD's for the first time...then I listen to the same song non-stop...

Forgot to tell you...he also did a cover of "The Love Will Tear Us Apart"...better than the original...but then every cover he's done I like better than the original anyway...so nothing new there...I do LOVE the concept of Silver Screen CD...that is some concept...ordered Asner's book and have to read it now although he is VERY difficult to read...just shows you a level of depth though...

I didn't even open it...I am a bit off about these things...it has to be the right moment...it has to be opened the right way...never said I am normal in any event...but I never rip off the plastic off the CD's...I SAVOR NEWNESS...

I couldn't go...I've been home now for the last 3 days...we have awful flood and most of the streets and highways are closed. We had a very very bad time of it getting there and back on Saturday.

Normally, Manhattan is just a stone throw away...but with so many roads flooded, barred by trees and closed...it was a chore just to get the hell home on Saturday...

I also think that use of profanities on family forum is not acceptable for ANYBODY...therefore, people who say...oh no need to apologize are full of SHIT..cause we do have young kids here and saying f word every second word just isn't setting an example for those kids...

you know its funny they say for every birth there is a death. It must be true because Lisa just had a nephew while I just lost my brother-in-law to suicide. :(

Congrats Lisa on the birth of nephew Jai. What does the name mean? That is a cute name. I like it. Have fun with him. :D

yes Lisa... my sorries... i meant to send you and your family congrats earlier on as well ... xo ...

and howlerFor ... my sorries to you and the family ...

my son-in-law committed suicide some years back... in fact... it was the day Meat collapsed on stage... Nov of something... i forget the year now ... what an awful day that was ... i barely knew for myself how i would get through it however... now Meat is well ... and son-in-law remembered fondly ... whenever i think of his face... he is smiling ... of course i mentally give him a little fist shake...

i watched an HBO documentary last night called Boy Interupted ... it was about the suicide of the documentary makers' (parents) 15yo son ... it was sad to see that no matter what help was tried... it just wasn't enough... so many times the determination is just there for a soul to have done with this world and there's nothing we can or could have done .. sad...

and as for the birth for death/ death for birth ... my father unexpectedly died (he was 48yo) in Jan 1973 and my daughter and only child ... xo... born Nov the same year ... i think it may have been the same year Blood Sweat & Tears released their song containing the line "and when i die there'll be one child born to carry on" ... that song always makes me think of my dad and daughter ... take care all of you ... xo

howlerformeatloaf 18 Mar 2010 13:59

Oh you did NOT just say that...oh you did NOT...

We treasure our Irish heritage as if it was a fine wine that gets only better with age....and even though we might be generations removed from those poor relations that at least had some sense in their heads to get the feck out before the food ran out...we keep our Irish flag blowing high over our Irish heads...

Take THIS!

 I'm knackered.

Did a funeral yesterday.
Was only supposed to be a four hour thing from 2 - 6.

I was still on the fecking stage at midnight

I seem to be doing moree funerals more than anyone else I know.
It's becoming a bit of a specialty :wtf:
