People like that usually are...searching for politically correct terminology...a bit hard of hearing???? Hearing challenged???

OR...talking to the people with foreign accent...general philosophy is that if you scream into my ear...I will understand your English much better...

MeatGrl1 07 May 2010 04:29

I can't believe the bombshell Meat's just dropped  !!

So any hopes of a tour over here is nil then :( :( :( :( !!!

Sarge 07 May 2010 05:26

Let's wait and see... And if he really doesn't want to tour Europe anymore... Well, at least the last time I saw him live was one of the best Meat Loaf concerts I've ever seen. Hamburg 2008 - what a night!

But things can change .... and hopefully you'll get the chance to see him.

suzieq 07 May 2010 05:49

I am sorry as well that Meat's plans don't include Europe right now. As Vicki said, plans may change.

I wonder how many are now booking flights to come over to the US to see this leg?

i am so very sorry to read of your loss ... i can't even imagine... i don't want to ... we have a wee lhasa apso ... she's 13 yo ... getting up there... there's times she just drives me mad... like this morning ... "come on ... you want to go out ? ... " and she stands looking out the door and it's "nah... i've changed my mind" ... then the newspapers are dropped off and she's barking like mad and dashing ... and as i'm pulling in papers... she's "sneaking" out the door !!! ... changed her mind again !! ... lol ... then she's in and giving you that... "who ME?" look... and you laugh and shake your head...

the house is SO empty when she's only off to the groomer ... i don't even want to think ...

everybody ... give your kids a little extra hug today ... both two legged AND four-legged ...

again ... so sorry to hear... he looks so sweet in the picture...

Sorry for your loss, Duke. :(

Sorry to hear that Jonty.
I still have a pic of my westie, Clipper, hanging on the living room wall, and he's been dead now 13/14 years.
Every time i've moved house in those years (3 times) i've always put his pic up.
Would seem wrong not to have his picture on the wall.

Not easy getting over 4 legged family.

duke knooby 09 May 2010 06:03

if meat considers that his best/most important album since bat, then

ive always considered meat to be a great singer when on form, ive never been interested in him as an actor... but as this album is his album... please meat get yourself some great songs and leave the album making to someone who knows what they are doing

im sorry, but im not in my best mood at the moment

He's a good actor but he needs to get out of playing real life characters eg Tony Blair, Brain Clough

I'm thinking today was largely a waste of a day ...

Up at 5am, out of the house by 5.30am, on the M40 by 7.15 (all going very well so far) join back of the traffivc queue 7.45, sit in car or on central reservation in the sun for 3 hours before they finally remove the central reservation so we can all turn round and go home having missed the meeting that started at 9.30.

allrevvedup 10 May 2010 21:07

To quote a phrase from a Tom Petty T-shirt I own "Sell Your Computer, Buy A Guitar"

It has nothing to do with those previous posts I just wanted to mention it!

Monstro 10 May 2010 21:08

You'd have found out quicker and wouldn't have been sat there for three hours

AndyK 10 May 2010 21:09

Even the bikes that did weave through the queue were stopped by the Police and not allowed back the way they'd come.

On the bright side the stereo in the pool car got a good workout to HCTB

Evil One 10 May 2010 21:14

Be glad you didn't have a copy of MATLAF with you. I once had the misfortune of partaking in 4 hour coach trip where the driver insisted on playing the aforementioned album over and over and over again. He did the same on the way back too.

AndyK 10 May 2010 21:15

Wouldn't have minded, I really like the stripped back sound of that album.

Why am I still tired ?! I seriously need a holiday away from everyday things, where I don't have to think about being somewhere at a certain time and constantly looking at the clock and thinking I may be late.. I want to just be away from all this bustle and just unwind and rejuvinate !!

I remember when I did that and I felt so refreshed...

Well it was long ago and it was far away and it was so much better than it is today !!
