have yet to see that one

last one for me was Batman Begins

Hypnobabe 03 Sep 2009 12:37

Indiana Jones and the kingdom of the Crystal Skull, started yesterday and finished this morning, and now I'm watching Hellboy II

AndyK 03 Sep 2009 12:56

High Fidelity, great film and a record collection to die for :))

Agreed... but I wouldn't fancy dusting under it...

Evil One 04 Sep 2009 19:22

The International. Rather average and needed a little bit more action in it. I think Clive Owen would have made a great James Bond though, much better than Daniel Craig.

RadioMaster 07 Sep 2009 18:33

The Final Destination

enjoyable watch, but by no means a good movie. Looks like they lost track of the plot half way through to be honest. Some major plot holes in there as well.

RJ, you are aware what film you were watching, aren't you? Do the final destination films actually have plots? lol...

Last film I saw was Wanted... not bad, and it'll be interesting to see how they explain Fox in the sequel....

Evil One 08 Sep 2009 18:56

I thought Wanted was ok, but it could have been better.

Angelina Jolie was in it, the rest of the film didn't really matter

RadioMaster 08 Sep 2009 19:35

Seen Howard Stern's Private Parts yesterday, followed by Batman (1989)

Evil One 08 Sep 2009 20:24

I think Batman has aged rather badly. Last time I watched it, it wasn't as good as I remembered it.

RadioMaster 08 Sep 2009 20:39

I found it rather boring in places. I guess twenty years later we're used to being spoiled with fast driving action thriller plots that a movie like that doesnt really have the same impression anymore. Especially with The Dark Knight, essentially the same movie, around.

firefly 08 Sep 2009 21:30

The Good Son

JanT 08 Sep 2009 23:09

The Mudlark on Film4 yesterday.

No seriously it's a good film, I like it.

 Clive Owen?

http://media.mlxxfc.net/clive.jpg

Oh, hang on, that's Clive DUNN isn't it?

Saying that, I wouldn't rule it out.
If Stallone can still play Rocky, Dunn can still play an action man for all occasions :bleh:

Evil One 16 Sep 2009 03:10

Angels & Demons. Definitely better than the Da Vinci Code.

The Flying Mouse 17 Sep 2009 16:45

 Changing Lanes.

Not as good as I thought it might be.
Still, wasworth a go

Sarge 17 Sep 2009 17:28

Dark Passage - Humphrey Bogart classic

samurai7 17 Sep 2009 18:52

Angels & Demons. I have no idea why they felt they needed to change so much from the novel. And not for the better, in my opinion. But in fairness, it's a very good-looking film in hi-def.

lisa01 17 Sep 2009 19:58

I agree, love Sam Raimi's work and The Evil Dead trilogy, had high hopes for this one, but felt let down, possibly over hyped. Watched Star Trek 2009 version last night. :D

howlerformeatloaf 26 Oct 2009 16:59

under seige 2 with steven seagal. Love steven seagal movies after Meat Loaf movies

Skeleton 27 Oct 2009 11:44

Tomorrow never dies

One of the best Bond film.. :D

allrevvedup 27 Oct 2009 12:21

Zombieland...very good start, slow middle, good ending..

If you liked Shaun of the dead you'll like this

Hypnobabe 27 Oct 2009 22:58

The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnasuss.

Don't see it on the strength of Johnny Depp being in it, he's only in it for ten minutes, ditto Colin Farrell and Jude Law...

Rockette 29 Oct 2009 04:57

Halloween - the original one. Was Jamie Lee Curtis ever that young???

MeatGrl1 30 Oct 2009 04:01

Michael Jackson's This Is It

Made me cry but I loved it, it was nice to see him doing what he did best though there was a sense of melancholy about it :(.

Pudding 02 Nov 2009 05:26

Public Enemies with Jonny Depp...B-O-R-I-N-G ! I probably built it up too much in my mind before watching it.

Skeleton 02 Nov 2009 11:36

Halloween.. I fell asleep in middle of it..

Hypnobabe 03 Nov 2009 01:00

Before you say it, I know it's not a film, but I'm studying again, so I'm working my way through my House box sets...

Rockette 04 Nov 2009 14:09

Saw Michael Jackson's "This Is It" yesterday. Loved it. Felt a little sad to see what we never will see.

Saw "The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus" today. Brilliant! Was well pleased to see it's still Heath's film. Delicately handled.

Off to see "The Time Traveller's Wife" tomorrow.

Evil One 14 Nov 2009 21:22

Daredevil. I thought it was :shit:. A weird blend of Batman Begins style darkness and Batman and Robin style crapness.

angelica 15 Nov 2009 01:03

A Christmas Carol (in 3D)

Blackkat13 15 Nov 2009 05:46

Hypnobabe 15 Nov 2009 13:14

A bit of a not-having-to-think-about-it-too-hard Indiana Jones marathon yesterday while I was attempting to get up the enthusiasm to do some studying, and I'm currently watching In Her Shoes - I love the poem Maggie recites to her sister at the wedding...

MeatGrl1 15 Nov 2009 20:22

Moonwalker and Run Away Bride

Vickip 15 Nov 2009 22:35

Silence Of The Lambs ... no matter how many times I've seen it, it still makes me jump

Just seen Paranormal Activity, bit disappointing after all the publicity, not as scary as they are saying ,a few spine chilling bits though and a very unexpected ending

MeatGrl1 27 Nov 2009 16:47

I believe the last thing I watched was Michael Jackson Live In Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour, I know it's not a film as such but I believe that't the last thing I watched and it's two hours long so could class as a film   !!

Evil One 27 Nov 2009 19:49

Hellboy 2. Not as good as Hellboy 1.

RadioMaster 27 Nov 2009 20:04

Quite good, though the cgi spoiled it in parts.

AndyK 29 Nov 2009 20:49

Die Hard 4.0, good enough for the genre although end CGI sequences with the truck looked liek they'd been done by a child with MS Paint.

Nothing in that genre beats those two.

Really hoping that Peter Kay does remake Die Hard though ... now that will be a comedy film worth watching.

Sunset Boulevard - masterpiece by Billy Wilder

Kathy 01 Dec 2009 01:20

2012 - I loved it! I had read a review saying it was "a big dumb hoot" and thought I would probably agree, but what the heck I could use a laugh :) However I was unprepared for the amazing special fx and it blew me away! ok, it got to me emotionally in a few places, too :) Loved it!

Irina Palm

Unfortunately it was dubbed so I couldn't hear Marianne Faithfull's original raspy voice but it was great anyway.

The Flying Mouse 12 Dec 2009 18:28

 Smokey & The Bandit.

Hardly highbrow, I know, but still raises the odd smile now and again

wouldve been worth an oscar IMO.

it's funny, i knew the song since it came out, but never made the connection to the movie of the same title. Before I've seen the movie i thought the song was good, but combined it had much more of an impact on me.

Last movie was Jackie Brown.
