So is everyone in the flat wearing pink now lol!! You can buy special sheets now you put in the washing machine called colour catchers and they stop that happening lol!!

Seriously theres some stuff you get that takes the pink out but its not bleach!!

Life is too short ...

I'll make an ass out of at least me and assume the thread digging chat here is about threads I've pulled up. I don't see a problem. People seem to be having fun with them. I haven't pulled up anything but some playful threads, nothing containing past nastiness. Lighten up please. Thanks.

And since I've been awake since 2am est, yes, 8pm est IS too early to nod off to snoozeville... lol ...

It's a bandwidth issue Tink, dragging up old threads causes problems but I'll have to leave the more technically minded to explain it lol.

As Neil said, we're working on a solution.

You know, on the 89.66587th thought I had after I posted... lol ... that thought occurred to me. No worries. I'll pull up no more until I hear back from the techie mods... lol ... A suggestion, if you would be so kind to pass along, Monstro, is to delete those those old threads and I could just start new ones with the same game/ topic/ subject/ title. Ask if that's possible, please ? Thanks !

Sue K 16 Oct 2010 10:08

Or, another thought for NOW... would it be an issue if I just started one of the old threads over ? Thanks !

Don't see a problem with that with the off topic threads, go for it, we can always merge if/when a solution is found.

Have fun!!!!!!!!

Battybarb 16 Oct 2010 11:13

at long last everything is falling into place, cant wait for next week

AndyK 16 Oct 2010 12:35

It's all to do with database loading and performance issues, basically an old thread bump beyond a certain time results in the database working harder to rebuild the bumped thread for display on your PC every time you want to look at it.

I've taken the more recent posts from the old threads that have been brought back to life and created version 2 threads for them all. The old threads have been closed.

Bubbles 17 Oct 2010 21:29

It was very good, the uni staging of Tanz der Vampire. It was amateur theatre but on a very very good and high level. They had a 45 piece orchestra for example.....our dear Professor Ambronsius was left out though. Was obviously very easy to do so, he simply "died out in the snow" at the beginning instead of being carried into Chagals inn.

One of the most interesting things was that they made a duet of "Die unstillbare Gier". And it worked very well. Sarah found Krolocks diary (ok, that does not exactly fit to the character but hey ;) ) and so she "read" the text out loud and started to sing the song. Soon Krolock stepped in and they sang it partly together but was happy to hear he sang some parts on his own as well.

What is interesting is that it fitted very well, sarah transferred the lyrics to her point of view, so for example instead of singing "Dass seine Trauer mir das Herz nicht brach, kann ich mir nicht verzeihn" she is singing "Dass seine Trauer dir das Herz nicht brach, kann ich dir nicht verzeihn". (for the germans on here ;)
The point is that the fact that sarah is included in the song and therefore knows about him struggling with his fate and regretting what he has done - this adds a lot of depth to it.
Of course one could argue whether it is likely that Krolock has a diary that he tells all of his feeling every night before going to bed.....or in his case every morning :D

but it was a great 2 hours, unfortunately tonight and yesterday were the only 2 performances

I don't make fuss about Christmas by the norm, but I've been thinking that this year I may. It's only in thought stage, though. Alot of things get there but come to naught... lol ...
