On the plus side, beer and Zombie night tonight!!

AndyK 08 Nov 2010 20:14

410 miles today at an overall average of 52mph, that's too bloody slow!

Evil One 08 Nov 2010 20:29

Buy a faster car then.

AndyK 08 Nov 2010 20:34

The top speed of the car really wouldn't have mattered in those conditions :p

Are you talking about Night Of The Living Dead, original, black & white, released in, I think, 1968 ? I saw it when it first was in the theaters and I was pretty shocked at the ending. I guess I'm overly sensitive because I gasped out loud loudly then cried a bit... lol ...

I'm butting in because someone was finally blessed' enough to make for me on USA tv a horror series, The Walking Dead. I watched the premier or preview on On Demand last night and liked it immensely ! I'm not much for vampires or over-computerized werewolves so don't watch Twilight. I like old school werewolves like the original Wolfman starring Lon Chaney, Jr. And I liked An American Werewolf In London, but not the one in Paris. I think it's that I don't like over-computerization of films. I liked Wolf and The Howling. I liked Interview With A Vampire, but that's about it, though... hehe... I'll think of more. I don't like Bela Legosi's (sp) Dracula. I love Boris Karloff's Frankenstein. And now, I've discovered... lol ... I LOVE ZOMBIES ! ... :D ...

Oh, lol, thanks ! I watched the premier of The Walking Dead again last night, this time with my husband. He found it "interesting" and he may watch the next one. He's SO not into horror films and I SO am ... lol ... The series started Halloween night so now I have another to watch and I'm very looking forward to it.

Don't expect to see an older version of what you've seen already, the storyline, characters, and events are very very different (which is why I can't honestly see it as a remake, although it's called one).

The only three things the two films have in common are........

1. The name of the movie.

2. Most of the action is set in a mall.

3. S*it loads of zombies.

Okay, we watched the second episode. I think my husband is a bit "eh" about the series now, but I liked the second episode as much as I did the first EXCEPT FOR THE LOVE SCENE. I don't need folks making love in a zombie film/ tv show, UNLESS IT'S BETWEEN THE ZOMBIES... ewww... lol ...

 The two things that really worry me are.........

1. You bothered to video yourself (or more likely, went to the trouble of having a friend video you) reading a newspaper and post it on youtube.

2. It was obviously such a highlight of your life that you went back a year latter so you could relive the moment.

:p

Actually, I remember the vid if it's the one i'm thinking of.

I discovered yesterday that Hang Cool Teddy Bear, minus the ballads, is a decent album to listen to during a work out.

Though today's workout was Guns N Roses Live Era hooked up to the sound system they have in the gym, which is very good while lifting weights.

RadioMaster 14 Nov 2010 19:19

I find slow, laid back music best for working out. Every time I put on a fast, rocking track I feel the urge to go faster and harder and have powered myself out after five minutes.
The Rocky soundtrack is a pretty good compromise on that matter though!

The Flying Mouse 14 Nov 2010 19:34

 Only if you finish your workout by punching both hands in the air and shouting "DRAGO, DRAGO" at the top of your voice in a dramatic fashion, no matter who else is in the gym at the same time :yep: .

One song I used on a regular basis in the gym was Smoke On The Water, on the rowing machine

AndyK 14 Nov 2010 19:59

I find it easier not to go to the gym, makes the choice of what to listen to far less complicated.

A rhetorical question, maybe ? Why do I need to know anything about David Hasselhoff and his family ? He comes with some much bad baggage from drunken phone calls posted on the internet and such. He should talk networks into a remake of Knight Rider and stay away from the reality show he's about to be shown in. I hear a last hurrah !
