The Crazies, i highly recommend it, plenty of murder and mayhem, and lots of gore ! A storyline that is believable in this day and age, government cover up, regarding a toxic leak ( biological warfare ), sent virtually everyone nuts and killings a plenty !

Sarge 14 Mar 2010 12:26

Klute

I expected it to be more exciting but Jane Fonda's performance was just great.

Sue K 14 Mar 2010 13:11

... Bridget Jones Edge Of Reason ... and i laughed so hard at the ski scene ? ... i woke the house !!! ... lol ... i was SCREAMING laughing with tears flowing ... i'm reading Bridget Jones Diary ... and do have Edge of Reason to read as well ... i'm very looking foward to it ... lol ... i adore the Bridget Jones character attitude of "this shouldn't be so hard" ... rolling ... then stepping in tins of Shepard's Pie (in the book) ... and the ski scene ... rolling ...

The Elephant Man

howlerformeatloaf 15 Mar 2010 12:12

I liked the Elephant Man myself. Good movie. I just watched The Keeper starring Steven Seagal. Followed up by Roadie starring the Man himself.

RadioMaster 15 Mar 2010 20:15

finally finished the whole Friday the 13th series with the 2009 remake. That makes all in all 13 movies (including a feature length documentation.)

next series on the list is Final Destination

Netty 15 Mar 2010 21:28

Roadie, i just can't watch it enough times :-)

MeatGrl1 15 Mar 2010 23:54

It wasn't a movie, but as I am sick atm and bed is the only nice place to be at the moment I re-watched Dangerous: The Short Films, by MJ and loved it all over again  .

The Flying Mouse 16 Mar 2010 00:01

 Had a musical double bill Wednesday night with Jesus Christ Superstar followed by Tanz Der Vampire (A real Heaven & Hell night :lmao: ) then it was a Lethal Weapon marathon of all 4 films on Thursday night.

Paranormal Activities

Nerver going to watch that again!!! even tho it was a good film... made me jump.

24K 19 Mar 2010 22:07

7 Pounds, i like Will Smith think he is an amazing actor, didn't know what to expect from this film. Thought it might not be up my street, but i loved it, sad, thought provoking and superbly acted !
I can only handle one movie like that a week, the rest i want murder, bloodshed and gore, which is why i will be watching Saw 6 very soon !

RadioMaster 19 Mar 2010 23:51

24K 21 Mar 2010 02:35

Saw 6, you can always rely on this franchise to deliver superb torture, gore and death ! Excellent, although i do wonder about the mental health of the people who come up with these grusesome ideas ? ! ;)
My mental health i already know;)LOL..

Shutter Island

Good, but the book is a good bit better.

Sue K 21 Mar 2010 03:30

2012

looks stunning on blu ray!

I was a bit hesistant, as a lot of people said they were disappointet by this one. Was convinced with what I saw. Sure, it's not the next Godfather, but if you look for a huge action movie with LOTS of suspense, I dont think it could get a lot better than this!

MissAsh 26 Mar 2010 00:15

Alice in Wonderland 3D

I'm a sucker for 3d and I really enjoyed it. Usually I am really not a fan of Helena Bonham Carter but for the first time ever I was amused rather than annoyed by her!

Shutter Island followed by New Moon

Double Feature at the Drive In

The Flying Mouse 26 Mar 2010 19:00

 Last night Jo and I watched......

1. Black Sheep (New Zealand film about Zombie sheep).
Funny film, but was very tired so sort of dozed off halfway through it
Will have to watch it again soon.

2.Jaws.
Always good

3.The Ring.
Thought that they did a really good job of remaking it from the Japanese original 8)

That's good to hear, I want to get that soon.

My most recent is Twilight New Moon. Don't know whether it should count as a film or not, as absolutely nothing happens whatsoever.

Before that it was Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief, which was thoroughly entertaining, much better than the recent Potters.

RadioMaster 28 Mar 2010 23:25

Jaws

gotta say I changed my mind on this one.
Never really liked it, based on a cut-for-tv version I've seen at the age of ~13.

Today I took the time to watch the whole thing on DVD, and now I'm convinced this is a great movie. Especially the cage scene underwater was great!

AndyK 29 Mar 2010 11:56

Bird On A Wire.

Mel Gibson and Goldie Hawn in one of the best comedy's to come of out of the 80s

Sandra Bullock deserved the oscar for it as it seems so out of character for her, which is the intention of an actor i would assume!

Bounty Hunter. Girly but amusing. Worth watching.

The Flying Mouse 30 Mar 2010 21:30

I liked 2012, different for Cusack but still good, I saw most of the day after tomorrow subsequently so I can see that they are very similar.

As for the Thing that is a brilliant film.

omg... lol ... it would take the hands of the population of China to count on fingers the times i've seen Jaws ?... and that scene STILL makes me jump !! ... do you know what i mean ? ... the music plays... and you KNOW he's coming right ? ... and he swims past... and the music stops... and then .. dead silent ...hehehe... and i sit there doing mantra... "i'm NOT going to jump .. i'm NOT going to jump ... i'm N... OH... THE SUCKER MADE ME JUMP AGAIN"... lol ... because he comes back ... BOO !!!! ... and pounds into the cage ... sans music... GREAT scene !!!

meanwhile... lol ... last night... don't faint... but i watched a film i had never before ! ... The Last Temptation of Christ ... starring Willem Dafoe as Jesus ... directed by Martin Scorcese ... it was very graphic ... i read the book years ago ... i remember that the last temptation was as he hanged on cross he had vision of making love to Mary Magdelene... but i thought the book also produced a fictional theory how Jesus and either Thomas or Peter created the illusions of the miracles and such ... but it's possible i could be confusing TLTOC with some other book i read ... at anyrate... i enjoyed the film ...

nooo... my fave line from Predator is Ahnold coming up face to face with the creature after its mask is removed... "you're one ugly mutha effer" (cleaned up for internet posting) ... Ahnold's accent makes that a classic line for me ... lol ...

and last movie i saw was W ... starring Josh Brolin as George Dubya and Richard Dreyfuss too scary as Dick Chaney... i'd watch again

omg ... so terrible right ?... really ... criminal charges should have been lain upon the studio ... Dennis Quaid as one of the Brody boys ?.. and even trying to shove the chief in ... there in the background ... some guy in the shadows waving when addressed... just terrible... terrible... terrible... btw... wasn't that shown in 3D in theaters ? ... if that's the one featuring Michael Caine ? ... shame on me ... lol ...guilty pleasure... i liked it ... two endings were filmed for that you know ... in one Michael Brody's friend lives ... in one he dies ... but really ... did you see how that shark had hold of him ? ... no WAY should he have lived... lol ... HEY... i wonder when Tim Burton does a 3D remake of Jaws ... hmmm ? ... Johnny Depp as THE CAPTAIN ... lol ... now who for the Chief Brody and Hooper ? ...

The first Tomb Raider film. I'd never seen it before and it was dreadful.

I don't understand why she didn't smash her half of the triangle and leave it at that? Or even smash the clock thingy and save herself all the bother?

Sarge 12 Apr 2010 01:50

There were a lot of illogical things in the movie. I mean, when the baddies attack her at home, she knocks down a dozen heavily armed guys but instead of just grabbing one of their guns, she runs to the garage in order to knock together a device with which she can use screwdrivers as arrows.
