The BBC aired a reduced version (the true TV edit, dropping a couple of songs and cutting the Paradise banter down to something that was deemed acceptable to broadcast on BBC2 in the 80s) of that which was released on video.

Evil One 07 Feb 2011 23:17

Because it appears milky due to the magnesium hydroxide being suspended in water.

and I love how Andrew really hates me right now. as long as its not taken too seriously everything will work out on april first in good fun.

I don't know if you're serious with that post or not, but if you seriously intend to pi$$ people off so that something is funny in two months time I assure you that is the worst move you can possibly make.

This is a genuine Meat Loaf forum to talk about genuine Meat Loaf issues - if you think filling it with made up crap is appropriate then you are so misguided.

it sucks that being sarcastic cant be reflected in text real well.

I wasnt serious. thats why i edited my post (look at my revised post). In actuality it saddens me to see what andrew said but I understand why hes pissed.

I wanted to make a great, funny, ironic april fools day prank to give a big middle fingure to the studios for not giving us more meat loaf live material. wa sgonna be epic. it backfired. end of story. I didnt hurt, harrass, or con anyone for their money. it was just gonna be a joke.

Im gonna let this blow over and im taking a good two month break for real this time. I have college to concentrate on, my new job, and my life in general.

deleted all the MLUKFC members/youtubers off my facebook. not cause i dont like you all, its cause I wanna seperate myself from here as much as possible. starting to feel out of place here nowadays. .

Hi, gang.

I hope this finds things well with all.

Gary Busey... I think the first time I ever saw him was on an episode of Baretta. He played a teenage hoodlum or something like that, if I remember correctly, which... lol ... I probably don't.

He played a good villian in the first Lethal Weapon. And he wasn't so bad in Predator 2. I guess I can pretty much call myself a fan of his work. It's a shame he's gone a bit whackaDoodle... lol ...

YO WARRIEL ~ and Happy Saturday, meatie peeps !

I'm sorry to hear about all the troubles you're having, WarieL. I remember a few years back when a couple people tried an April Fools' joke here on the list, it went horribly wrong.

I haven't followed what led up to all the upsetment about your "joke". I hope things work out for you here. I guess I have a soft spot in my heart for you due to what I STILL think was such a nice birthday video gift for Meat and that you were nice enough to share it with us. Imo, it was really, really good and I could see the time and effort put into it.

Anyroad, I tried to PM you, but I see you either can't or won't receive PMs and I wanted to thank you for the link you PM'ed, but I need to download a program in order to view it and I don't like doing that. My computer is a bit hinky at best right now and I don't want to give it reason to bid me adieu... lol ...

Take care, WarrieL !

Peace.. t ... :D ....

OMG..... THE CAB... AND AND AND... lol ...

I always feel SO on display and vulnerable at the end of it all ... lol ... I want to faint ... lol ... Thank goodness for all concerned I NEVER bag !!! We'd STILL be in line... rolling ...

actually it was just 170€ (retail price 240)

"Pretty small pic. Jugding by the headstock, it's not a Fender. Japanese Strat copy?"

It's one of those asian one's that every company sells under a different name. Jack & Danny's, Harley Benton, etc
http://www.musicstore.de/de_DE/EUR/G...GIT0014734-000

"and does it have a switch to make the humbucker sound like a single coil?"

no idea what you just said lol
the only feature I did test was the switch to mix the three pick ups.

The black one is a Fender CD60 btw, probably the cheapest acoustic one that sounds and also looks quite good!

I pass by a guitar store almost every day that has an old Pearl Les Paul for sale (about 300 €) and I just can't decide whether to buy it or not. Every time I stop at that shop and ask myself whether I should go in and just get the damn thing, LOL.

It looks like this (the one without a pickguard): http://www.gibson.com/Files/aaFeatur...GT-2%20pic.jpg

79 €? Okay, if I just wanted to hang it on the wall I'd probably buy it but I'd never spend that little money on a new guitar I'm actually going to play. I doubt that you can make a good electric guitar and sell it for such a low price. I recently bought a cheap Strat copy (about 150 €) and it required some work and new parts to sound half-way decent. Best Asian Strat copy I ever bought was a Cheri (E Series), I purchased it for about 100 € along with a crappy old amp from a student. Excellent guitar, very good quality and sound. It was my first electric guitar and it's still my favorite one although it has suffered a little over the years. It now looks a bit like an old lady that used to be a beauty once. :))

I was talking about the pickups. The guitar in the pic has two single coils and a humbucker. Some models come along with a switch that enable you to change the humbucker to single coil mode.

Get a good amp and play your Tele, it's fun - especially when it drives the neighborhood mad. ;)

gotta say to the untrained ear it sounded quite acceptable (the key word being quite). The thing is that it actually looks a lot cheaper in real life. The body and pickguard look more like plastic and all the switches also looked very cheap. I thought there wouldnt be much of a point hanging that one up on the wall.

The other reason I bought it was to switch from my acoustic one from time to time, to see how certain songs sounded on a tele.

Bought a rather cheap 'Fame' amp with it. Was testing the cheapest one they had (20€), but that one sounded more like a kitchen radio than actual audio equipment lol
