Back to someones house after the pub last night, and me and Jo ended up leaving about half five this morning.

Paying for it now though

I like these thoughts.....mine too now haha.... also I am hungry & there is Tiramisu in the kitchen.... & Ice cream in the freezer, sorry Meat, its not Vanilla.

melon 16 May 2011 16:07

I now have new thoughts.....

Without going into too much detail, I just came crashing back to earth. The human race is evil, and cruel, if you want proof, just take a look around. You needn't move far, all you need is to take a seat infront of your computer & let your fingers do the walking.

It's always a punch in the gut & a kick to the teeth when one's past comes back to haunt them, so long after.

duke knooby 16 May 2011 18:41

i've a new thought too... i've got an email from this place :-)

Thats the first one ever!

melon 16 May 2011 18:42

I didn't, I feel left out now......

MeatGrl1 16 May 2011 21:46

Got Jack's ship and The Black Pearl today with The Sun, the little CJS lego doll is funny but cool, you can take his hair off and turn his head for another expression... When I found that out I had a little chuckle, that's cool !!
Also losing 4 and half pounds at Slimming World has given me a boost, going to try really hard to get on track this week, don't really want to put on again.

I hope they raise a lot of money for such a great charity.

^ THIS!

Wario 24 May 2011 09:14

the truth is, Meats set is probably short.

My guess:

Hot Patootie
Break It
Bat
POE
LA
Took The Words
AFL
Paradise

wont be worth 1500 bucks to a ML fan, but it is for charity.

The Flying Mouse 24 May 2011 18:22

 I can certainly understand the frustration concerning the Minnesota show.
It wouldn't be so bad if he was doing another concert locally that more people could afford to go to.

The price does seem a little silly, and the cynical part of me thinks that a good deal of the people who go do so not to see Meat, but because it's the kind of exclusive celeb bash they like to be seen at
AKA phonies.
It reminds me of the show Frasier, when has snobby brother Niles goes to events like "The Ho Down For The Homeless".

Not that that's down to Meat. The people who have put it together have set the ticket price and therefore the clientel that is likely to attend.

As Wario says, Meat will likely be on the bill of artists and will be doing a much shorter setlist.

meatfanforlife 24 May 2011 18:38

Oh I know that...its just stupid for his promoters to not address the Midwest market.

Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin...he will be in WI for Summerfest, but i HATE giant shows like that. Just one large excuse to get drunk and do drugs.

IMHO the set list may even be shorter (maybe 3 or 4 songs total) considering there are 4 other groups performing on the same night  Even though people may not think it's worth the money to a ML fan, like you say it is for charity. That's the main thing .. and personally I think it's great that Meat took the time out of his busy touring schedule to help out Marlee and an amazing cause :-)

Wow you may be right. Itd be interesting if hot patootie goes right into Bat.

Or if he starts the set with bat, which he hasn't done on any occasion since 1983!

 If the charity were the main thing there are better ways to raise funds than this IMHO.

Bigger venue, lower ticket prices, lots more people there, more money raised.

As it is, it looks like a toffs night out where the cause itself plays second fiddle

Just taken a delivery at work of a USB stick for one of our users.

The stick is about 10cm long, 2cm wide and 1/2 cm deep.

It was delivered in a box bigger than an average shoe box! Would cost more to post than to buy!

It's a conspiracy set out by washing detergent makers and clothing factories to get you to wash the mud filled & rain stained clothes that you'll have worn on the night and then after finding not all of the stains can get out, you'll be forced to go and buy new clothes.

melon 18 Jun 2011 03:51

Waiting waiting waiting, waiting for contractors to finish so I can go home, just waiting waiting waiting.

I hate on the freeway.... or any road at that matter, when you are let into a lane by another driver the least you can do is give a polite wave of thanks, I always do. The last 5 or 6 people I have let in didn't, "Hey you, where's my F*ckn wave???" lol

I think its about time for a mug change at work, the AC/DC mug has done the job quite well for the last 2 years, un damaged. Maybe a Meat Loaf mug, or Topgear.... decisions, decisions, tis the big life changing decision of the day.

Ever notice when you're playing sport, eg cricket, you have a crap game, what ever, some one says "Bad luck mate...." It ain't bad luck, it was just BAD lol my biggest annoyance in sport. Different if the umpire gives you out when you're not, team mate drops a catch, umpire doesn't give you a wicket when its out etc...... thats BAD LUCK lol

I feel like going shooting, there is a shooting range about 30 mins from where I am right now, or alternatively paintballing would be good too.

Back to the being at work & waiting for contractors to finish point, I even went for a run around work this morning to kill time, now my knee hurts, I had some pop tarts & some M&M's..... hmmmmmm

.............. Maybe time for a coffee now hey?
