It's your regulation M&S haircut that gives the game away.

Not looking forward to tomorrow, I hate Fridays so much! Leave the house for Uni at 10 and get home at 6, wait around for over 3 hours between classes...horrible! One more week of this and I'm off for Christmas, so some good news :-)

duke knooby 26 Nov 2011 01:09

from a technical point of view... for insurance purposes, it asks what year you bought the car, as i originally bought it in 1999, i wouldn't be lying to say i bought it in 1999, but to say i bought it in 2011, its over 100 quid dearer to insure, whats that all about??????

Thrilled to bits with my exam results today, could be in line for a First, depending how next year goes, but unless I'm either very unlucky or very stupid, I'll definitely get a 2:1, so my career plans are still on track!!

AndyK 07 Dec 2011 11:15

Prof Brian Cox is a genius (albeit one who sometimes needs to remember that his auidence are more than likely not as clever as he is!)

Tim Minchin is a warped genius out of the same mould as Jim Steinman, in fact I'd go so far to say that he's the comedy world's Jim!

Put the two of them on the same stage and the results are remarkable!

duke knooby 07 Dec 2011 23:28

aye, mr minchin is excellent, but im puzzled why mr cox was there... was he helping out on keyboards???

AndyK 07 Dec 2011 23:32

He did play one song on the piano to acompaby Tim, although it wasn't Things Can Only Get Better.

As for why ... http://robinince.com/ look at the posted on the right hand side.

duke knooby 07 Dec 2011 23:37

so whats the show, is it like a royal institute christmas lecture, mixed with comedy and a dash of music?? and more importantly, was it good??????

AndyK 07 Dec 2011 23:41

Yeah a mixture of science, comedy and music. I thought it was really good, but then I have a very strong inner geek/science nerd.

duke knooby 08 Dec 2011 00:26

It's mainly down to the fact it tastes like vomit. :bleh:

Your chocolate was originally made with sour milk, ours was not. Hence the difference.

Oh, I guess because American chocolate is all I've known since a child I don't find it unpleasant. I think I am more fond of Nestle's than I am of Hershey's. Hershey's chocolate seems thicker or something to me. Maybe it's a good thing they're adding air bubbles ... lol ... My fave candy bar is Kit Kat. I wasn't aware of the history of American chocolate. Thanks !

Other way round. European chocolate is much sweeter and creamier. I always found U.S chocolate had a horrible taste to it, especially Hershey (apart from their mooki'es and cream - the only U.S chocolate I like).

Cadbury and Lindt FTW! :-P

You know, I don't know exactly what a Mars Bar is. I've been hearing about them for years and even one time read a naughty story about them !!! I wonder if it's similar to a Milky Way bar ? I'm fond of those. Some fluffy nugut (sp) something with a layer of caramel (I'm well fond of caramel !!!) and covered in chocolate.

Yup US Mily Way = Mars bar.

Our Milky Ways are these nectars of the gods:

I'm sorry. I don't know who derren is. I'll check the internet. I read Garth Brooks has added shows in Vegas through June 2012. He's not touring. He's contracted with Steve Wynn's casino in Vegas. From what I heard, Garth's gone acoustic. I'm not sure a band is with him. I'll have to look into it. I wouldn't mind just Garth, though. I enjoyed the Storytellers show he did a couple years back on VH1. The tickets originally were going cheap... maybe 20 dollars or so... but for some reason they were jacked up to 125.00, maybe ? That's the Vegas way, I suppose... bah ... lol ...

if you'd done it online or via telephone you wouldn't need your certificate because they check with their database to see that the car has valid insurance and MOT. This can prove very handy when you've moved house three times in the last 2 years :D
