I went for a drive in the desert to day, never knew there was this kind of scenery outside Riyadh:

I *think* this means Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are, in Arabic.

So pissed off about the Tour De France last night, what joker thought it'd be funny to throw tacks on the road, endangering so many people. 30 riders with punctures, Cadel 3 times!!

It was farcical but funny watching Cadel's teammate arriving at the summit with a puncture aswell!
Good sportsmanship, though, with the pack waiting for everyone to regroup.
I can't believe the British domination of the race - this isn't supposed to happen!
Tough day coming up on Wednesday.

At least I know my dog is still breathing, he has his nose smooshed into the side of his bed and is making a loud "Shhhhhhhhhh!" noise when he breathes

AndyK 16 Jul 2012 17:10

Considering peopel inside the venue were struggling to hear parts of the show (and we couldn't hear Soundgarden outside the venue the night before!), it's a wonder that anyone outside Could be upset by the noise generated by two legends of music performing on a Saturday evening.

But, apparently, this is England and we must all have an early night and not too much fun.

Adje 16 Jul 2012 18:02

LOL, well I read about it in Dutch papers. I wonder how they're gonna handle the Olympics if this is a typical London saturday night.

Reading the story I couldn't help imagining the scene from the Blues Brothers, where the plug was pulled in that country bar

It's only 2 weeks, quit complaining! Lol.

Busy day for me tomorrow. I'm off to chat with one of the legends of women's cricket from the 60's, then its off to the gym, then a batting session followed by a tour of a local bat making factory for a tour (bradbury bats) the owner, Sally Bradbury used to play cricket for Western Australia, and she was one of our selectors a few years ago. Might have dinner out too

I get so nervous watching the Cross country in the Equestrian, for all horses, not just the Aussies.

Mostly because the horses trust in their riders means they just do what they are told. The training and time involved in these horses too.

I did the open top bus tour when I went several years ago. They had a Horrible Histories audio which was actually quite interesting.

I spent so much money in Edinburgh that I could no longer afford to go to the concerts I was hoping to that year. :(
