Everything is going to be ok...and although it's a surgery, there is still some comfort in knowing when exactly baby is coming.

Just checked Wikipedia:
it is true that the german and the briish pound have two differnt weights. The german one is exactly half a kg, although it's not an official unit of mass, while it is an official one, with a different weight, in other countries. Here it's only used colloquially (sp?). You order a pound of meat for example.

Ah, I see. Varies in the UK too. For example, if you order a pound of meat in Chorley you get 220lbs of lard instead.
