Away for half term hols. Hope I don't miss tickets going on sale for Meat's UK tour (the one in April!)

chairboys 26 Oct 2012 12:42

Shall I sneak my landmark 1000th post in before I go away or save it for my return? I have never faced a dilemma of such magnitude before. Do I get it over and done with or sit back, relax and savour the moment?
What's it like to be a 1000er?
Do I want the badge? Is there a badge?
Do I want to face the truth of wasting 1000 posts of my life on a forum that does nothing other than dissect and analyse the work of a singer?
I must be crazy.
I have 24hrs to decide...
Any advice guys?

Mr. Happy 28 Oct 2012 14:39

I'm getting a little antsy, there's not much left of October to make an announcement in. I know I'm overly hopeful, but God I hope it's Jim related. That window's going to close forever if it's not in the immediate (IMMEDIATE) future :(

Well that would be the absolute last straw ? If the announcement is Mitt Romney related, rather than Jim Steinman related, then Meat has lost the plot, and its over, finished, kaput, the end !

I don't think it'll be that (I hope not anyway).

The thing that supports that hope is that I think the Romney thing was very last minute, because you can't tell me they had any kind of time to rehearse or plan that "performance" :bleh:

I love them! :D I like the green ones best- the coating is a little sweeter or something. They are definitely a local thing, although the company that originally made them sold out a few years ago, so they aren't quite as good as they used to be. Maybe, just maybe, the Romney thing is an attempt to draw maximum publicity to himself in anticipation of the real announcement ? Or does that assume too much of a plan ?

B. I didn't lock it. You know I tried very hard to keep that thread going. When I asked for certain things to be left to the sidelines so the bigger issues could be discussed the convo then moved to my decission :wtf:

...though not *quite* as pathetic as telling someone to 'shove off', trying to inflict your own defense attorney sensibilities on everyone else, and basically offering a stream of personal abuse instead of a well constructed argument. People have different views to you: deal with it. Because they have the right to express them.
