So, I bowled a wide today that pitched on middle stump.... Shane Warne? Who the heck is that?! lol

melon 25 Nov 2012 13:50

I also find it crazy that as my Sunday ends, it's only just beginning for some.

Am I really knitting a jumper for a mug? Yes, apparently so!

melon 27 Nov 2012 00:48

You know you're tired when you wake up in the exact same position you last remember being in bed.

Up at 4.30 for a 6.45am gym session, off to work, training at 5pm, out for dinner and a game of indoor soccer (football for you English) at 9.45pm and I am ruined after getting up at 5am today....

I need a coffee IV today, can anyone sort that for me?

My secret Santa has shipped my present to me. I'm quite excited to find out what I'm going to get. Apart from a few messages to me I don't know this person.

If you don't hear from me in a few days it's probably anthrax.

Is there a more bizarre draw for an event than the one for the Rugby World Cup?
Why make a draw for a huge global sporting contest that still has 40% of its places to be filled but, more incredulously, is for a competition that will not take place until 2015?

Sebastian. 05 Dec 2012 14:50

Oh he's not really very big, he maybe stands about 20cm tall right now, but he's only 8 weeks old, so I guess you could say he's big lol. His daddy was a pure breed American Staffy and his mummy was a Kelpie x Heeler, and apparently she was quite small, so hopefully he keeps his dads looks and mums size.

Quofest was top-notch ( last night at Birmingham)
Opening act was Eddie and the Hot Rods - lively, fast-paced and entertaining.
Then Bonnie. Setlist ( if my memory serves me corectly):

It's A Heartache
To Love Somebody
Lost in France
The Best
Turtles Blues
Total Eclipse
Faster than the Speed of Night
Holding out for a Hero

Opening half seemed gentle compared to Eddie's Hot Rods, but really came alive with Turtle Blues and then Jimmy Boy's trilogy was outstanding. A pal of mine who wasn't Bonnie savvy thought she was losing her voice. I had to explain the raspiness was normal! She can still belt out the songs, but with such a short set she could have cut out the chit chat between EVERY song and then played an extra song, possibly Rebel Without A Clue!
Then we had the Quo. My memories of seeing them at Wembley a few years back aren't exceptional, but last night I thought they were terrific. For a band that can play the same song for 2 hrs they did a pretty damn good job.
All the classics and all the fun.

AndyK 19 Dec 2012 09:52

So, what's everyone up to this morning then?

Hypnobabe 19 Dec 2012 18:39

Have braved the centre of Cambridge to do some more Christmas shopping... Rather disappointed they didn't lay on any Royals this time, Kate and Wills were in town the other week when we went...

It's safe to say I'm shattered and my feet are killing me now, also I spent an absolute shedload of money...
