I'm quite glad I'm not a fan of Beyonce right now.
I'm not sure I'd like the idea of paying the kind of prices I've seen her tickets going for on eBay. |
I like some of Beyonce's music videos.. usually just put em on, turn down their volume at bottom of the screen and play the music of something Steiny. :)
Can't argue she's lip syncing anything that way too ;) ;) |
My sense of humor is often dry. I'm participating in writing a 'storybook' and enjoying the short time we spend here together. Having a couple laughs and as much joy as one reasonably can. Here's to thinking my artist page will make me a career someday. And if it won't, here's a quote:

Stupid time to waken on a Sunday

Haven't been to sleep and it's now Sunday.. probably should get some soon tho ;)

I'm holding a grudge against our local F & B! When my kids were tiny we visited said outlet and were seated downstairs in the two-tier restaurant. They were at an age when very frequent trips to the lavatories constantly disrupted the meal. It was a particularly quiet lunchtime, virtually deserted in F & B's. So, "I need to go to the toilet" was followed by a hike to the upstairs loos. No problem. This happened more than once. Then the nice young waitress who was serving us, kindly suggested that we may, in future, use the facilities which were only five yards from our table. So, upon the next pitstop request, I used the room set aside for the disabled. Not something I tend to do, but I was in and out in a flash with absolutely no possibilty of delaying anyone who genuinely needed to use it. Upon exiting the toilet I glanced across the very sparsely populated restaurant. The manager, oblivious to the thoughtful waitress' conversation with us, shot a stare at me that, to this day, I will never ever forget. If his eyes were capable of firing lasers I would have been decapitated on the spot. |
Frankie and Benny's has been a bit of a hit and miss experience for me. On occasions the food has been great, the service has been great and we've left happy but on other occasions it has been the complete opposite.

Anything with a salad bar is good, loading the bowl with as much as possibleis an art form many haven't trained in. (Tomatoes always go in your pocket as they take up too much space!)
|
I kid you not, you've not experienced a salad bar until you've done it with Andy! There's a whole "right way" to fill the bowl as full as you can, it's an education!

Just applied for a new job. It's a little bit different from anything I've done before but I'm trying to be hopeful.
|
May will be a very interesting fun-filled month for me. And September may turn out to be a very good month too. Hopefully I will be in Vegas sometime in Sept. Time will tell
|
that was a brilliant gig, great company
a good birthday :) |
Hang Cool Teddy Bear like nearly every Meat Loaf album sounds real good on stereo earphones... it just sounds good. Lyrically there's so much grit and bite.. so much emotion and talented musicians. I read the one star reviews... and I just don't hear what they're hearing. A lot of people want Meat and Jim again. That be great. But I can totally dig these last two albums.. and if Meat and Jim work again, that kickass. If not.. it's all good.
|
that official pub thread thread was a good thread...
but my will power has prevented me posting in it again |
That was a good sleep :)
Shouldn't have done back stretching exercises yesterday though :( |
need sleep
and lots of it today is the first time i remember ever having the opportunity to get meat tickets the moment they went on sale |
Looking forward to my Motley Crue weekend! While some of you are enjoying Meat's show on May 17th in Ireland I will be seeing the Crue at Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford NH. Then on May 18th I get to see them again at Mohegan Sun Casino in CT. Now I just need a Meat Loaf show for the year to complete my concert schedule. Rock on!

Rock on, BostonAngel, Rock On! \m/

Is the Bonnie Tyler thing true?! Seen it a couple of places now, not sure if it's a wind up!
|
Well, it's in today's Mail, so it must be true!
|
Saw it on TV this morning...don't think I'll be making too much effort to catch that somehow!

being able to reprint insurance certificates is the best feature ever :)
as my ability to have no idea where the current certificate is... but be able to find the previous 10 years worth is not a great feature... time to go and get some road tax :| |

Shouldn't you get a 30 day consultation period?
|
I thought that Jonty...a while back I had a little job and was faced with going from being paid weekly to monthly, and even with that they had to put things in place so that I didn't have to suddenly go three weeks without pay.
As it goes it didn't happen but I thought that they can't just stop your pay (short of being fired!)? |
I'll get four weeks notice pay but that's about it.
I'm a bit surprised at how soon they're planning to close us but there you go. I've known for a couple of months that this was a possibility but it doesn't make it any easier to deal with. My concern is finding another job. Retail is all I have ever done and it's such an uncertain field to be working in these days Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner |

Having dispatched 22 hand-stitched bags today (!!!!!) I'm sitting with my feet up, a well earned G&T, and flicking through some of the old fanclub RVMs....I forgot how much I love them! The photos in them are so brilliant, it's such a shame they had to stop

They were wonderful. I joined MLUKFC in 1998, missed the first three issues but got all the others, they were just brilliant. The reviews were always great with stunning photos and fan accounts of events, some interesting interviews too.
I guess with the forums and a review thread per show there's less of a need for them now, but they were special, they're a treasured record of my Meaty life! |
heard adele's skyfall tune for the first time today... and by less than 2 mins in, i was singing along with " diamonds are foreveeerrrrrr"
|
and there was a great bruce springsteen song on the radio, from a japanese import version of the album, cardboard... looks like an lp... and can i remember the name of song now????
midnight, darkness, city??? cant remember :( good song though! |
but theres a good reason i forgot the name of the springsteen song
i have a terrible habit with cd's, of not putting them back in the correct cases, especially when listening in the car... and its not unusual to have several discs shoved into the wrong case. but ive been dyin to listen to hell in a handbasket, since that thread when did you last listen to hiab, but i'd no idea where i put the cd. tonight i found it :)... i said i hadn't listened to it since may... and it was in the case of the album i bought in may oops then in my excitement at finding the cd, ive forgotten the name of the springsteen song lack of sleep messes with ones memory!!! |
