Now I've finished my software training, it's time to relax and enjoy just over a week off of work.

AND because I'm on holiday it actually means that I get a Saturday off. :)

That's a Lynn Goldsmith photograph- it's in her book, "Rock and Roll Stories", which is chock full of gorgeous pics. I got a copy for Christmas last year. :-)

Realising that it was a year since I went to a M&G hoping that history wouldn't repeat itself and I'd be lost for words again. Unfortunately it did and I was.

Probably one of those memories that I should try to erase from my mind.

Saw Captain America tonight and I threw popcorn and yelled at some guy. Who goes to the movies to watch videos on their phone with the volume up, and then leave 20 minutes before the movie finishes? I yelled at him like, 3 times before I threw the popcorn at him by the way... It's not like I just snapped and threw popcorn at some guy lol

...which rather tenuously leads me into my hamster story.
My daughter got one for her birthday on Thursday and as the chairboys clan have just left me home alone for a week I have been assigned the simple task of keeping the thing alive.
So, yesterday I felt proud that I had kept it fed and watered and away from our predatory moggy.
But, this morning when I checked on her, the side flap to the cage was wide open.
I know its a feeble connection but my distraught daughter had named her "toffee".
Before you assume toffee met a 'sticky' end I can reassure you she is, to my relief, very luckily alive and well.
Security has been stepped up.

I am under immense pressure. I've even turned the cage round so the side flaps are wedge against a wall.

Guy 14 Apr 2014 21:41

This could be the start......
In my silly teenage years I had 2 scorpions which I kept in a fishtank....filled with sawdust and soil. Each day they would happily burrow away, nip at each other and gently chew away on live grasshoppers. Until the morning of my 'lads' holiday to crete. The 2 (70w) heat lamps had fizzled out and in the rush to get to the airport to start on my hooch marathon I stupidly replaced them with 2 (250w) lamps.
On my return I was not the only one with a crispy sunburnt back.
419 posts and was just waiting for the right moment.
Thank-you Mr C.

It wouldn't have been my first choice of operating system when I got my computer but I wasn't paying for it so I could hardly grumble.

It took a bit of getting used to as there are a few differences to Windows 7 but hopefully you won't find it too irritating. ;)

Because they are, from what I've heard, so much better for things like design and as I have spent hours teaching myself graphic and website design, it'd be nice to have a decent computer to do it on. ;)

Hypnobabe 18 Apr 2014 01:25

Derren was fabulous, as always, and walked right in front of me when looking for his victim for the second half... Swoon...

chairboys 18 Apr 2014 20:16

First time I've been to a match and the 4th official's put 10mins on the board.
So, after 99mins and the score at 1-1 the chairboys are awarded a free-kick on the edge of the box.
I'm right behind it as it curls into the top corner, keeper saves and the rebound is poached into the net. Cue pandemonium.
But, no the lino has flagged for offside. From a hundred yards away and at the wrong angle it was never offside.
