i find it interesting that uk national debt was on a downward trend from the end of ww2 till 1992, and ever since the creation of the eu in 1993 has been on an upward trend.

Purely coincidental

duke knooby 27 May 2018 18:07

I also find it interesting that my 106's drivers side door was lying six inches open this morning. I really must start locking it.

duke knooby 01 Jun 2018 21:31

I've been listening to Meats braver album this last few days, for the first time in a very long time. And it's a much more enjoyable album than I gave it credit for at the time. I've been starting from track 3 and playing it through. I'm still not a massive fan of the production/mix, but thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

I have been gifted two tickets for a September showing.
How does the experience compare to the previous run?
Any subtle changes or just the same over the top mayhem?!

I

A few changes and down 1 song. The script has been tightened up a bit more. The some minor cast changes but the leads stay the same.

I shall be wearing a hat this year.

chairboys 08 Jun 2018 15:04

What a plonker I am.
My pal is all packed and waiting for me to pick him up for a jaunt to the coast this weekend.
I've only told him the wrong dates!
A day's holiday and two days overtime lost for him.
I'm starting the repair work with a curry next weekend (the wrong one)

Hello all!

Lately I had a blast from the past because I registered in a different forum using the same forum software we have on here. Made me think back of the days and days I spent on here between 2006 and 2010. Makes me somewhat sad too.

Anyway. Post your thoughts this thread says and my thoughts are: I intend to go on a road trip through Kent this September. Dover, Canterbury, Tunbridge Wells, Hastings. Anybody of the lost souls still on here coming from that region? Could use some recommendations where to visit, stay ,eat

duke knooby 15 Jul 2018 01:16

i reckon i've seen rain on 4 days tops, since may 6th

duke knooby 22 Jul 2018 01:52

alcohol has numbed my back pain rather well, but it hasn't fixed it

and it's now 7 months since i had a dominos pizza... that was an expensive addiction

chairboys 14 Aug 2018 05:31

I really cannot believe the first time I watched the video for More Than You Deserve was approximately five minutes ago.
Shame on me.
But what fantastic comedy it was!

duke knooby 22 Aug 2018 01:05

duke knooby 29 Aug 2018 00:41

and i didn't even notice any barnum statements to draw me in

duke knooby 20 Sep 2018 00:53

i haven't decided how to finish this dispute, but when you really don't care what happens

it's quite liberating to no longer give a shit

but maybe i'm just have a breakdown

duke knooby 23 Sep 2018 00:57

well, imagine my surprise in the music aisle in tescos, a bay for lps

and the 180g bat out of hell was in it (unpriced unfortunately)

but i never expected to walk into a tescos and be able to purchase bat on vinyl
so that was pretty cool

duke knooby 26 Sep 2018 00:12

a very pretty city, I enjoyed it.

although the guinness wasn't great, I simply had to try one, and it took a lot of searching to find a bar that sold it!

In my experience not really... But that's based on work trips involving airport, taxi or hire car, La Peripherique, suburban hotel, industrial estate, meetings, taxi or hire car, La Peripherique, and airport. So I could be biased.

It was, like 10 years or so ago. Now it's hard to enjoy it because of the heavy security.
I remember it was easy to walk aroud the Eiffel tower and enjoy the park. Now it's impossible to go there without passing gates and security checks etc.

One thing that hasn't changed though... the waiters are fckng rude.

I did notice a lot of armed police and army about, I even commented as soon as I arrived it was like being back in Belfast in the early 90's... but because I grew up with that, I can honestly say that it didn't bother me, just felt normal.

duke knooby 18 Oct 2018 23:02

On other thoughts, I'm not very good at drone flying, I managed to crash the drone 3 times on it's first flight, and on the 2nd flight disaster... crash landed in a neighbours garden.

But I am very impressed with me little B&O speaker, I'm not a particularly a fan of wireless speakers, but this is getting its first test with some live Foy and I'm actually genuinely impressed how good the sound is from something so compact (and streamed).

A good purchase!

I've read bits of it, not all.

But as with most things Brexit related, I trust the interpretations and understandings of Dr Richard North, a much more knowledgeable person than I.

Very much so.
Early part Saturday was spent strolling and refuelling around the city and then took in the rugger at Lansdowne Road.
Finally retired half an hour before the first breakfast croissant was available.
So ticked all stag do boxes!

duke knooby 05 Dec 2018 00:22

I think I've proven teleportation is possible

cause I went to sleep around 1.30am, verrrrryyyyyyy drunk, in bed and upstairs.
but woke at 4.30am, verrryyyy drunk, and on the sofa downstairs.

and i've no idea how

duke knooby 09 Dec 2018 01:26

I missed the usual bus into town, so took a different route in, and was intrigued to see a pizza place advertising the largest pizza in Ireland.

32.5” pizza

I gotta try one sometime

duke knooby 16 Dec 2018 23:33

Guy 08 Apr 2019 17:40

I like to skip Duke. Skip to the pub

duke knooby 09 Apr 2019 00:04

I'm just back from the pub, so probably wasn't the best time to contact someone about a car for sale in london lol

duke knooby 12 Apr 2019 00:20

Looks like I'm heading to yorkshire to buy the car

duke knooby 18 Apr 2019 00:55

so i've sent money to someone i've never met, or spoken to. to buy a car i haven't seen, other than six photos, in a different country, without finding out where they live, and have booked a flight over...

definitely not how i'd normally buy a 14 year old car from a private seller...

lets hope my gut instincts are good with this one

duke knooby 20 Apr 2019 23:04

Gut instincts were great!!

Shame I missed the boat, otherwise it would’ve been perfect

duke knooby 21 Apr 2019 23:23

and i must say, they really were a lovely couple, and really looked after me. and Harrogate is a lovely town.

Guy 26 Apr 2019 17:04

Glad it all worked out Duke. Are you now tearing down the road faster than any other boy has ever gone?

duke knooby 27 Apr 2019 00:09

nope, i'm now waiting to see if i've managed to get my first ever speeding ticket...

duke knooby 27 Apr 2019 00:21

and sadly, i've no room left, so one of them has to go...
and i know which one has to go
but i can't quite manage to commit myself to letting it go
