Did you notice? November is approaching real quick. The tweets have slowed up with studio progress, which can mean the November 10th target date (Meat tweeted about) can be absolutely realistic for mixing and all the particulars relating to that. And then we hurry up and wait......tick...tock......tick....tock....for spring. Whenever the release date it will be worth the wait.

I'm just so spoiled having to see Meat so often during this process. I've enjoyed learning about the recording process, since I was clueless before. Although we were like a flies on the wall for :30 to minutes at a time, Meat's timeliness with his off the cuff posts was sure not to expose the the big picture of CD/Album before its time. And oh, we have verbal/video proof (tweet) saying Meat LOVED working on this CD. Which makes me extremely happy as a fan, because in order to hear more new Meat stuff he has to do something he loathes (be in studio).

To refer back to the Paradise DVD: where I felt sadness for Meat when he says "He hates everything" and now I'm elated to hear that he loved his studio time.

Ah the roller coaster of emotions ... play on Meat ... play on.

Well said Suzie, couldn't have said it better myself. And I agree, seeing Meat enjoying himself so much, lightens my heart a little bit, rather than like in the past when it was such a chore for him and something he hated.

I'm not being stupid The Wizard of Oz didn't give me my new brain yet

MIXING is when you put the vocals with the music to make a song right?

These Twitter videos remind me of the Meat Loaf we all know and love. He's joking around and having fun again. In the ISOP documentary, he always seems so frustrated.

glamourgirl 26 Oct 2009 17:49

I can't believe Patti didn't even get mentioned in the documentary. She's performed with Meat longer than any other woman, but she rarely gets any recognition.

Maybe she will get a lot of promo with the new album and the next tour. And the new duet.

glamourgirl 26 Oct 2009 17:51

I haven't seen all the Twitter videos. Did Dave record on the new album?

There would have been no logical reason to mention her. It wouldn't have helped Aspen in any way to mention Patti.

Evil One is right.

That documentary was in the "here and now" at the time it was being recorded. The documentary is about Meat's trials, tribulations and successes as of when it was being recorded. Patti wasn't in the band then. Although I love Patti to pieces, I just don't see where they could have placed a shout out to her.

But back on topic. Dave was not seen on the tweets but doesn't mean he hasn't contributed.

The documentary never really explained the backstory of why Aspen was there in the first place. But I think what she's referring to is when Aspen mentioned "the legacy that came before", there were some photos of the past singers, but no photo of Patti. But it's all water under the bridge. Onward and upward.

I don't recall seeing Dave in any of the videos. But I don't remember any videos with Mark and he recorded on the album.

I don't remember seeing Dave either. And I think Mark was recording in June, before the videos actually started :-)

it's blasphemy really jonty...someone not liking Duke Special that is...we'll get back to your post doctoring!

I like the review of the whitney houston album, especially this quote:

Quote:

TRACK 10 – I GOT YOU
Sadly, not a cover of Split Enz.

Sarge 31 Oct 2009 02:42

We've heard a lot of guitars in the clips so far (which I like)... What do you think think, will there also be piano-driven music? What happened to the duet with Hugh Laurie that was announced earlier? It hasn't been mentioned anymore.
