Watched it ages ago then went straight to the net and bought the book, excellent film

Just watched District 9, a touch bizarre but was worth recording the other night.

Not really a movie,, but I finished Game of Thrones season 2 on Monday.

Think I may need to read the books, can't wait 306 days for season 3!

:twisted: Does the book shed any light on the ending of the story?

As I said, the film was pretty good all the way through but left a lot to the imagination at the end.

I thought of a few ways the story could have really come together (given the right tweaks) but alas, it never did.

I'd be quite happy to read the book as long as I didn't plough through 500 pages to get the same ending :lol:

The Dark Knight Rises - wow! Absolutely stunning. So sad there won't be another one by the same team, but what a way to go! Kudos to the filmmakers to sticking to their principles and not just sticking around and milking it for decades.

John Carter - I had very low expectations but actually found it to be very enjoyable. It was well written, had interesting characters, a satisfying story arc, was well performed, and had done great action scenes.

Terminator Salvation was on tv last night.

The Dark knight rises on Friday SUCH an amazing film and was so worth the 45 minute queue and the american behind me constantly kicking the back of my chair! Really enjoyed the film won't post any spoilers but I shed a tear of happiness at the end

Real Steel, better than we thought it would be

Thought about putting that on last night, but decided against it. The missus is on a bit of a Tom Hanks trip at the moment, she'd never seen The Da Vinci Code or Philadelphia, so we watched those insead.

I did that a couple of weeks ago. Love Scream 1 and 2 (2 is actually my favourite), and 3 is really good when the annoying Stab 3 actors are NOT on screen. I liked 4 when I saw it, but I just don't think stabbings are that scary any more. It was still better than 3 though imho. Will watch again soon I hope.

Save your money for something better. It starts off with good intentions of being scary, and has a good build up, then suddenly ends without making much of any sense.

Husband and I watched We Bought A Zoo last night ... and... well... imo... it took some time to take off... but once it did, we liked it alrighty... Just a bit of fluff n' stuff... based on a true story... HOWEVER ... lol ... as some may know... and be irritated by the fact... the story is based on the true story of a BRITISH journalist who bought a zoo ... but for the film ... the gent was AMERICAN, played by Matt Damon, I believe ... What's up with that ? ...

Hehe. I loved it better than the Rob Zombie crapfest that followed though. But you're right. Perhaps the worst of the original franchise.

I haven't watched the Rob Zombie ones on principle. I can't stand the current trend for remaking much loved classic films. Remake bad films that no one saw, sure. But why crap on the greats?

The Amazing Spiderman. Not bad, but I'm still not entirely sure why the need for another version so soon... :twisted:

Men In Black 3 - loved it, thought it was a big improvement on 2. But doesnt TLJ look old in it?

So that sony can keep the right to Spiderman rather than them reverting back to Marvel ;)

SKYFALL - loved it!

As did I - not just a brilliant Bond film but a brilliant movie in general.

The Hobbit, it was very good =) !!

The Hobbit - Sooo much better than what I thought it was going to be. Can't wait for the next one purely for the Necromancer/Witch King story to grow.

Wrong Turn 5, Love the wrong turn movies.

The Hobbit.... thought it was good, and fits in nicely with the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Can't wait until next Dec. for part 2. :))

The last movie I have seen is The Texas Chainsaw Massicare in 3D it was really good but very gory xxx

I haven't watched a movie for ages!!! I wouldn't mind but when you have over 1500 DVDs it's difficult to understand why I haven't lol. The last DVD I watched was Mrs. Brown's Boys Live: Good Mourning Mrs. Brown. Cracking show. Very very funny!

Ghoul- and it was awful i wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Well last night we watched the Hobbit. But after 75 minutes we both agreed that it was boring the heck out of us. So we switched it off and watched tv. Fair enough I wasn't a fan of the 2nd and 3rd LOTR movies either.

Just finally watched Leap of Faith. I thought it was going to be a funny movie for some reason, but I didn't mind it. I thought the actors/actresses did a great job, Steve Martin was fantastic, and special mention to that singer guy that drove the bus ;) nice Hawaiian shirt, the tie was a nice touch lol :)

Just watched Citizen Jane for the first time. I liked it. Thought Meat did a great job.

Waiting for the new Die Hard movie to come out. Hopefully will see that next weekend..
