What is the movie about? It must be a good one if you are still upset about it! Some of the best movies are the ones that make us think and are not just made to simply entertain.

It's best to watch it knowing as little as possible but it's a documentary a friend of a murdered doctor made in order to show his unborn child what he was like when he was alive.

Really, that does sound intense. It also sounds like a tear jerker but for me I cry at the holiday Hallmark commercials...

Happy Tuesday, meatie peeps !!!

The last film we watched... husband and I... because now about twice a week we do movie date night via cable... lol ... was Dodgeball ... I think the funniest part was when the old dude (Rip Torn I think it was) was training the team... throwing wrenches at them to teach them to dodge... Made ME scream laughing... I'm pretty well fond of Vince Vaughn and Justin Long, too ... I don't think I'd watch it again, though ...

Tonight we're watching Rock Of Ages... I don't think husband will enjoy it as much as I will ... but there ya go ... Anybody ?... Is it a good film ???

I hope this finds all good with all !!!

S ... xo

Don't. It's immensely funny the first time, but doesn't hold up to repeated viewings.

I liked it- more than I thought I would. Tom Cruise was pretty good, IMO.

Last night I went to a special preview showing of a movie called "About Time"- I thought it was VERY good! :-)

Adje 25 Oct 2013 01:01

The Lost Boys.

Thought I'd show the wife one of my fav. movies from the 80's. Obviously she hated it

nozza 25 Oct 2013 10:13

sunshine on lieth not as good as mama mia but a nice musical film

That's one of my favourites!

AndyK 25 Oct 2013 18:00

World War Z.

Different to the book, but a good derivative with enough nods to the key sections of the book, and an interesting take on Zombies with them moving so fast and having absolutely no regard or feeling for personal injury at that speed.

Adje 30 Nov 2013 02:08

Last days on Mars

Dunno, it's so-so

Not good like 'Alien' or 'The Thing'
Not as bad as 'Apollo 18'

I managed to watch without using the fast forward button, so... ya...

Hypnobabe 30 Nov 2013 11:29

Started watching The Running Man last night but got too tired to finish... Makes me want to re-read the book though, which is VASTLY different from the film, not least of all because Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't in it...

Sebastian. 08 Dec 2013 21:40

Pearl Harbor - It gets worse but funnier everytime I watch it.

Watched World War Z last night.

tonyloaf 09 Dec 2013 14:34

hunger games 2- odd ending

AndyK 09 Dec 2013 20:11

RED 2 - Not quite as good as the first, but enough humour to make it entertaining.

TheDoode 09 Dec 2013 20:29

Insidious 2. A film that has serious self-identity issues and ridiculously misplaced comic relief characters.

Adje 28 Dec 2013 03:12

Return of the Pink Panther / Pink Panther Strikes Again

Brilliant

Hypnobabe 28 Dec 2013 16:18

Evil One 03 Jan 2014 14:20

Raiders Of The Lost Ark. Still a fantastic film but there's one thing that's always bothered me about it. What happens to all the snakes? They're surrounded by hundreds of snakes, Indy breaks through the wall and the snakes all vanish.

Hypnobabe 03 Jan 2014 17:13

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2, about to follow up with Zombieland!

tonyloaf 03 Jan 2014 18:34

Walter Mitty , easy going movie

duke knooby 03 Jan 2014 21:55

The conjuring

Wouldn't fancy watching it alone in the dark!

AndrewG 03 Jan 2014 22:53

Frozen.

Unbelievably good musical animation from Disney. Fantastic songs and music. Combines the best elements from so many films. Oscar worthy and perhaps the best animated movie I've seen alongside the best from Pixar.

Adje 03 Jan 2014 23:21

Now you see me

I was entertained for the entire 2 hours :D

Annabelle,

My wife and I both liked the Conjuring. So obviously we had to see this spin off.

It's a whole less creepy. And the first hour is almost boring with only 3 or 4 more or less creepy/scary scenes and a poor built up. In the end I think it's a below average horror flick.

Sue K 15 Oct 2014 08:44

Happy Hummmpday, meatie peeps !

Just watched Scary Movie 5 ... and laughed ... out loud... a lot... even though at times... I was embarrassed to be doing that ... lol ...

It's that time of year again

Halloween 35th anniversary Blu Ray
Halloween II Collector's Edition Blu Ray

After all those years they still remain in the top 10 of my favorite movies.

Sebastian. 25 Oct 2014 18:27

Fury.

Pretty good not my favourite war film ever.

First rule of combat first aid though Hollywood: take the weapon away from the casualty, especially if they display symptoms of shock!

Oh and eh amount of tracer rounds used made it look like Star Wars.

Good choices. I just ordered the original and the second one is under rated. I also love h20 which I think is a brilliant modern (at the time!) Follow on

Mud ... it was...okay ... kept my interest to find out what the heck the guy was about ... and the first shot of the shoot out made me jump out my skin and giggle nervously ... lol ... Oh... and I liked Ellis' personality... His character reminded me of P Jo in Crazy In Alabama ...

Julie in the rv mirror 08 Nov 2014 06:01

"I'll Be Me", the Glen Campbell documentary. Extremely well done- sad, but funny and uplifting at the same time. Recommended.

Happy Saturday, meatie peeps !!!

Nebraska ~ I laughed (even though at times I wondered if I should be... lol ...)... I cried ... I enjoyed it immensely !!! ... and probably would watch it again ... Bruce Dern... long time fave... First time I saw him was in a hippie movie... lol ... oh... what was the name of it ... Psyche-Out ... I think it was... maybe in 1969 ?? ... My friend and I went to see it because this actor we'd seen in another film we liked... Jack Nicholson from Easy Rider... was in it... and I came out from the theater with a lifelong fondness of Bruce and Dean Stockwell... Even my mom liked Bruce... but she was always prone towards bad boys for her fantasy men ... lol ... perhaps because my dad was such a mellow, easy-going fellow... lol ...

My wife went with me to the Meat Loaf concert at the London 02. She didn't go to the concert but the 02 also has a movie theater. While I enjoyed the Last at Bat show she saw Dark Skies there :-)

Sebastian. 12 Jan 2015 23:08

Four Lions.

One film which I acatually laughed out loud at.

tonyloaf 14 Jan 2015 18:14

As above as below

Adje 29 Jan 2015 00:55

John Wick = Non-stop, over-the-top-, shoot-m-dead, action extravaganza.

or as someone on IMDB called it: John Wick = Violence Porn (which I like both  )

Interstellar. Not bad at all, but with almost 3 hours just too long for my enjoyment.

Also watched some of the Gotham series. I wonder if all actors were occupied during the auditions. Because what was casted... none of them can decent act. Even the Bold and Beautiful has better acting
And the dialogue makes me believe they used the writer of the Bold and Beautiful as well... Terrible... bleh

The Portrait of Dorian Gray ( 1945)

The last film I saw was Transcendence starring Johnny Depp... and sad for me to say... being the huge deppie fan I am ... I found it to be confusing and convoluted ... :( ... and a couple hours of my life I won't get back... I just couldn't bond with any of the characters ... though I do like whatever is happening physically to JD's neck... as he ages... I found myself sitting there and staring at it when I couldn't get into what else was going on onscreen ... lol...

Sebastian. 24 Feb 2015 23:20

The Grand Hotel Budapest.

One of the best films I've seen. Ralph Fiennes is just superb. One of my favourite if not my favourite actor.
