Yeah...and instead of saving her loved one...the girl hangs on to her jewlery...just to throw it away when she is old and could have given it to her kids/grandkids...talking about selfish...

Blackkat13 29 Jun 2007 05:10

Yeah I think everyone knows the ending to Titanic, but I won't tell you since I don't want to spil it for you.

Unless of course you've got the special edition DVD with the alternative ending!!!

Last film I saw was Se7en, for the benefit of my mate who hadn't watched it, although I'm sure it didn't appeal to him for the same reason it appealed to me...

RadioMaster 29 Jun 2007 12:46

catch me if you can

LOVED that movie...the only movie where Brad Pitt actually acts...what a miracle a good director can make!!!

... POTC2 ...

JanT 30 Jun 2007 16:23

Rocky IV

Not because I like the film, but because someone said my middle lad looks like Dolph Lundren. Guess what! He does too.

Sue K 30 Jun 2007 17:16

Hypnobabe 03 Jul 2007 10:47

Ghost Rider

AndyK 03 Jul 2007 10:50

Hostel 2 ... now there's a reason to hide all the scissors! :yikes:

Hypnobabe 03 Jul 2007 10:53

Still haven't got round to watching the original yet...

LucyK! 03 Jul 2007 10:56

Claire don't do it!!!! :yikes:

Hostel 2 has much more of a story and is more psychological than the first one, the first one focuses on how they kill people rather than why, I'm not kidding I sat in the cinema watching that and I honestly felt light-headed  Truly one of the most graphic things I've ever seen, and I live near Newcastle!

RadioMaster 03 Jul 2007 12:13

jurassic park

MeatGrl1 03 Jul 2007 12:18

 Dirty Dancing - Patrick Swayze

Not really sure if I want to see this play as I love this movie too much... !

mszee 03 Jul 2007 14:22

It is fascinating to me that most British women watch and actually like horror movies...I wonder what it means...hmmm...

LucyK! 03 Jul 2007 15:34

I like them a lot, I don't know why because I'm one of the most jumpy people you'll meet (enter Monstro to tell the tale of him creeping up on me at Manchester station! ) but there's something about them I really like...

I'm not a big fan of things like Hostel or Saw which are (to me) two hours of cutting people up for no reason, I like the psychological films that are horror in a much more clever way - I loved The Others, Red Dragon...the ones that make you think

Although to completely contradict everything I've just said I really liked the Final Destination films!

I see...well, the Others is a horror...but I think Red Dragon is more of a mystery...I like mysteries and like psychological thrillers...yeah, ok...maybe the whole Hannibal thing is psychological (or psychopath) thriller...but I really don't like basic horror movies...even if they have any kind of element of psychological...

The most scary movies are not those with blood and gore for me...I remember being terrified when I read/saw Dead Zone (Stephen King)...now...THAT is scary...the most scary movies are those that take human nature and lay it out open for you...scary...

!!!!!!!!!
Absolutley!!

That's the reason I'm a huge fan of the Shyamalan (sp?) movies, I love them, but can watch them only once or twice. It's the atmosphere that makes the horror, if the atmosphere isnt there you can add as much blood and gore as you want, it just doesnt work.

LucyK! 03 Jul 2007 15:59

RJ have you seen Lady In The Water??

(Assuming we're on about the same guy...!) I love Shyamalan (sp?)...The Sixth Sense was fantastic, and on that basis I went to see The Village at the cinema and hated it, I was completely uninterested the whole way through and really disappointed that it was one of his films, and that put me off seeing The Lady In The Water even though it's one of his...

Forgive me if I am wrong...at work and can't check...

Isn't he the one who has done Sixth Sense and something about super heros (forgot the name) one positive and one negative?

If that's the case...I've seen only those two...and really appreciated them...Sixth Sense is a below average movie made OUSTANDING by ending alone...amazing...
