 Well, yeah, but why is the path uncleare when we know home is near?

Chris 23 Dec 2005 22:00

Because you have to understand that we will go hand in hand but we will walk alone in fear.

The Flying Mouse 23 Dec 2005 22:02

 So I ask again.......

Think you two have far too much time on your hands...

...to be honest I think you're just scared, afraid of what you feel...

...glad it's not just me likes that episode of buffy! ;)

 But you can't tell the ones you love, you know they couldn't deal, and whisper in a dead man's ear doesn't make it real

Cathie 24 Dec 2005 02:39

Don't worry, it didn't seem so sad though, I figured that was my place

Chris 24 Dec 2005 06:45

Uncle Steve was a lovely man (shame I couldn't say that about my foster mother:twisted: and we spent many hours up his allotment when I was a lot, lot younger growing and planting, he taught me everything I know about gardening, and now I have a 100ft garden to tend, his knowledge which he passed down to me is very useful, and at least I have those memories to remember him by.....:(

Talk about spirit of Christmas:roll:

Well she has gone someway to redeeming herself.... received a package this morning containing photographs of Uncle Steve, and some of me when I was about 12 to 18 years old........ , also some photographs of when I married my late first husband who died when he was 33 years old....... these I have been searching for over 30 years, so you can imagine the mixed feelings I have, but they did bring tears of joy to me........

Maybe the spirit of Christmas is alive and well in this particular person:?

I'm really glad for ya Dottie, i know what you mean about mixed feelings but i'm sure you wouldn't do without them now!

Cathie 25 Dec 2005 02:17

I'm really pleased for you dottie hun, wish could give you a big hug. I know it's hard when emotional memories are suddenly forced on you like that but hope you are comforted by those memories as well and enjoy the photographs that you have been looking for this whole time.

another bit of good news, have finally been able under the data protection act to contact surrey county council, and have requested details of my life from 1954 through to 1968 - sounds strange doesn't it.....

I'll probably have a wait of approximately 3 weeks or more, but at the end of it I should have more information as to regards my parents, and why they gave my sister, brother and myself up, and possibly further contacts of other relatives - who knows, I totter into 2006 with a lighter heart thats for sure......

The Flying Mouse 29 Dec 2005 19:53

 That's fantastic Dottie :D
Hope this brings you much joy in the new year.

djfierce 29 Dec 2005 20:12

Received an e mail this morning from Surrey County Council - now have an official case no. and the name of the guy who will be assisting me to trace my mother, and my childhood........

Maybe the answers to my questions are a lot closer than I imagined they would be......
