Concert For Diana And meat!

Well, I cecked the website once again, concertfordiana.com and they don't say they have more artists to announce so I think thats all of them on the site... NO MEAT

But one thing is, I might tape it or someone else can - I don't know, as you never know, they might of forgotton to add him to the list or he might make some speacial entrance..... I don't know either.....

Just thought you would all like to know that I don't Meat will be there.... We'll have to wait and see..

What are yout thoughts????!!??

RadioMaster 23 Jun 2007 19:37

He IS on the setlist.
At least that's what universal is saying for his upcoming tv appearances.

meatloaf-unofficial 23 Jun 2007 22:19

well i don't know..... I HOPE he is :-) - though the website tam said that they are having trouble securing big acts!!

Lord Kagan 23 Jun 2007 22:22

Suprise act? Although Universal wouldnt have announced him as appearing on it if he was

Ma.Ra 24 Jun 2007 22:13

In Germany RTL2 is broadcasting the concert exclusive, but in ther commercial, they did not show Meat's name.

RadioMaster 24 Jun 2007 22:19

LucyK! 25 Jun 2007 09:47

My understanding that was Meat would perform this, as otherwise there'd be no need for the Bristol show on Friday, although I was told that they'd be "going home" after Bristol...so I guess we'll just have to wait and see, though my money would be on him doing it

meatloaf-unofficial 25 Jun 2007 10:20

I hope so.... and if so, I wonder what he would sing...
I hope Meat stops by and tells us more info on it :-)

Sapphire Lady 25 Jun 2007 10:31

Meat isn't in the list of performers on the official website:

http://www.concertfordiana.com/performers/

meatloaf-unofficial 25 Jun 2007 10:37

:lol:MEAT WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!:lol::lol:

mszee 25 Jun 2007 16:27

Why don't you just tape the show regardless and find out one way or the other???

LucyK! 25 Jun 2007 16:35

Exactly - we'll be away anyway so we'll be watching the highlights on TV or the Meat bits on the internet...I'm not stressing about an event I'm not going to!

AndyK 25 Jun 2007 16:44

There's full coverage on Radio 2 as well as TV coverage, so that'll keep us company on the road trip.

He's not.

EDIT: Well hell, he might. But I'll believe it when I hear it. I really see no reason to believe any of the reports that he will.

RadioMaster 27 Jun 2007 11:56

its acutally not a good thing that it's 4 days till the concert and we still dont have any official word about Meat?

mszee 27 Jun 2007 18:45

Is this the right concert???

All official channels seem to show the same cast...guess it's official list...including "among others"

RadioMaster 27 Jun 2007 20:31

that's the thing: "amongst others".....:sherlock:

and universal is still stating he's on, BUT this wouldnt be the first time universal was providing wrong info.
Anyone feels like mailing the concert guys and asking?

meatloaf-unofficial 27 Jun 2007 22:06

I've pm'ed meat asking him if he is doing the show :-) - hope he replies.....

So is saying Take That sucks ok? But anyone thinking Meat does isn't?

Pot calling kettle....

lorenzoduke 01 Jul 2007 22:54

I'm guessing it was just an opinion, just like it is when someone says it about Meat.

wolfy35 01 Jul 2007 23:41

Unless I was overcome by a wild and very specific form of amnesia I listened to the lot on the radio and did not hear any Meat at all, Did hear some people that should never be allowed to sing live tho cos they were crap

JanT 02 Jul 2007 00:14

Watched it, some performers were brilliant, others, not so brilliant. Time wasted for me.

Monstro 02 Jul 2007 01:01

I agree, some were better than others and for the life of me I don't know how some rappers make a living but saying that it can't be easy setting up mikes and sound etc so that it suits all performers.

SamCat 02 Jul 2007 01:03

Kayne West and P Diddy were ok tho'!!

MeatGrl1 02 Jul 2007 01:08

I've always loved that Missing You Song
It's so beautiful. I hated that rap stuff ! I was like :wtf: is this racket  !!!!!!!!!!! Elton was cool and I loved the Queen song in the tribute video because it transported me back to May and WWRY:cool: !!

allrevvedup 02 Jul 2007 06:38

Someone tell me why Kayne West felt the need to swear in his songs during this performance?

They blocked it out far as I could tell, but hey c'mon this was sposed to be a family show right?

As for Meat not being there, if his voice has taken a battering recently it was probably a good thing...nothing to promote anyway.

mszee 02 Jul 2007 06:44

Well...it was a...concert...I fell asleep...

Hypnobabe 02 Jul 2007 10:50

Kanye West - Perhaps Golddigger wasn't the most apt of song choices

P Diddy - I could've got on stage and talked my way through a song

And on the subject..................................who let Brian Ferry get on stage and sing "Lets Stay Together"???????

I dont know if you noticed that, but if you take away the rap bit then it's actually an old police song.

Only performances I really liked were Elton and Rod Stewart.
Shame status quo werent better though :(
