why did security ruin it ?
|
Oh 25th I meant .
I went to my seat and had two massive people infront of me so all I could see was pitch black so I went to this security guard and explained this and he told me that he would see what he would do and said he would be back, however this guy never came back and it got to Objects and I had missed all that Meat said, I thank Michael for capturing it !! Because it was then they decided to come and talk to me and tell me that I had to go back to my seat and not stand in the asle which I was not blocking btw and I still could not really see, however they shunted me to this seat and I was crying then for the rest of the show, it just totally ruined my night. |
not really the security guys fault then I'd say.
They did what they were there for: their job. If this was the worst security-incident ever happening to you, you are very lucky  |
Quote:
I didn't think so. That was one big hairy ass security guard who marched you off  |
|

unfortunatly for us shorter folk that happens alot at shows, they have to keep people in their seats otherwise i guess it might as well be a standing show, this is why alot of us try so hard and pay so much to get in the first few rows, i have been to many concerts where i couldnt see a thing, sheffield in may was one, even as tall as m is he couldnt see anything either, in those situations you just have to enjoy the music and the atmosphere. You may not have been blocking the aisle but someone sees you getting away with it, then they think they can do it then it goes on and then the aisle does get blocked, see where i'm going with this ;) I'm sorry you didnt enjoy the show but you do need to change your expectations when you are that far back hun |

me too :)) |
Velvet Revolver at the Carling Academy in Glasgow on 20/3/08
They were awesome! |

sorry to hear that Emma, but that has happened to me before, tall people in front of me,just gritted my teeth and enjoyed the show.....except recently at WWF at wembley when they kept standing right in front of me,i politely asked them to sit as we couldnt see a few times which did not work, then very impolitely TOLD them to sit which did work and we had a great time.... |

The last concert/show I saw was Tanz Der Vampire in Berlin on Sunday
|
Thats meant to be great, was it good ?
|
I thought it was great, althought the others who were with me, who'd all seen the show many times before said it was one of the worst they'd seen, in comparison with earlier productions in Hamburg and Stuttgart.
|
Do you think it might have been cos they had seen it before,a couple of people who come in my pub have seen it and said it was great
|
I'm talking about people who have seen the show lots of times, with various different companies, in various different cities. They noticed little changes that have been made - remember it opened 10 years ago in Vienna, and has played in Stuttgart and Hamburg. There've been a few different Graf von Krolocks, Sarahs, Alfreds etc. There have also been prductions in Hungary and Japan, although I don't think any of the group I went with have seen the latter. These last two shows may not have been the best they've seen, but at least they all agreed on one thing: it wasn't as bad as the New York incarnation (thank God!)
I personally thoroughly enjoyed it. The only niggle I had was that sound wasn't loud enough for my taste, and I was sat right at the front! It's all academic now, though, as the show has now closed in Berlin. Next production will be in Oberhausen, starting in November, with a different cast. No word yet on who will be the principals, but apparently Tomas Borchert, who was 1st Krolock in Berlin is not due to appear as he's performing in another show at the time the new production is due to open. But I'd definitely recommend seeing it if you can. I'll never forget the experience! |
dont forget about poland and estonia :p
|
when do you go to see it RJ and have you seen it before?
|
Quote:
It was 3am when I posted - my brain wasn't working properly :p |

I hope I can manage to get tickets for the Oberhausen premiere on Nov 11th. |

While Meat was singing his heart out in the Wembley Arena in London on Friday May 25th 2007 I saw:
Band: De Dijk (Dutch Rock band) Place: Bibelot, Dordrecht, The Netherlands. One of the best shows I've ever seen and I was in good company back then. Standing front row as usual.... http://media.mlxxfc.net/dedijk4.jpg I'm scheduled to see Bruce Springsteen in May but I have to say I have no real desire to see anymore shows at this stage which is very strange for me. |
not really a concert: Musical Showstar with Meat Loaf last night :))

Last band I saw was the Committments ..... absolutely brilliant, every bit as good as the film.
|
Quote:
 Was this the original band members who were in the film Sarah? I know that the original cast members went on the road as The Commitments not long after the movie. A friend of mine saw them play while Andrew Strong was still with the band. If they're still touring i'll have to get to one of their gigs. |

Skynyrd sounded great and really put on a great show. Hank was sooo much fun! Loads of crowd participation! The last time I went to see him [20 years ago] he was so drunk, he never made it on stage. This time was 100% improvement! I never realised that he was that good on guitar either - definitely glad I was able to see the show! |
thanks Jo, have to look out if there coming around my area the next time!

Nick's still my favourite! http://www.spiralentertainment.com/images/cm3.jpg Went to see COWBOY MOUTH Friday night in Raleigh, NC (30.5.2008 ) Simply one of the best bands you could ever see live! Tremendous! |

R.E.M. (w/opener Modest Mouse) June 10, 2008 - Raleigh, NC (Great show - was a real treat to see Johnny Marr, Mitch Easter & Don Dixon all join R.E.M. on stage for a couple of songs!) |
Jo you are making me VERY jealous!!!! You are going to way too many shows lol please stop posting ;)

Or a Leppard cage ...
|
My best friend's going to the Glasgow, and she'd definitely be up for a Leppard Cage lol
|
Finished the warm up for Meat now ... 4 SPringsteen shows in the last month washed down tonight with a helping of Whitesnake and Def Leppard.
|
It was a play based on an Agatha Christie Novel, Then There Were None.
It was really good. |
Not me,but my 8 year old grandaughter Stevie-Lea went to see Grease for her birthday a couple of weeks a go,she loves it,she knows all the words back to front and inside out, lol..she was so made up when she met " Danny Zucco" afterwards.
|
Quote:
Springsteen was amazing beyond words, Def Leppard were pretty fab too but I have to say I was disappointed with Whitesnake, they just had nothing about them, and it's hard to here "let's f***ing rock this place!" in a British accent! Sounded like a joke from Chef Aid! :p |
Saw Gabrielle at The Sage in Newcastle a few months back, she was amazing:))
|
Boyzone last night.
I was only four rows back and they were absolutely fantastic, I'm still buzzing! |
Joe Satriani, 15 May, Manchester Apollo
|
Bon Jovi last night. Still deaf and hoping my ears recover in time for the Bath concert!
|
saw Neil Diamond last Thurs. Show was great, but it wasn't anywhere NEAR loud enough. The audience was drowning out the band just by clapping along. The moral of the story? Don't book to play stadiums if your sound system isn't up to it.

Nickelback
still on a high!! :metal: |
InMe (one of the other two bands I love as much as Meat) in Aberdeen, Dundee and Glasgow a fortnight ago.
Three gigs in three nights, spent quite a bit of time with the band each day, especially at the Glasgow date since they were supporting Serj Tankian so we hung out with them at the merch stand for over an hour during/after Serj's set. Still can't stop grinning thinking about it. |
What was the last concert you've been to?
Mine was Fleetwood Mac. Very good live!:D
|
Great Big Sea, in the 90's!
|
The Rocky Horror Show
|
Tina Turner and she kicked some major ass  !!
