Paul and John with Marya Roxx @ The Joint in LA
 

Me and Heather went to see John and Paul with Marya last week. I can't believe it came and went to fast and that itls nearly a week since we got back :shock:

There were many many highlights to this trip :cool:

Here's a few...

We arrived in LA last wed evening. Just in time to pick up a hire car, get changed in the loo's and tackle the LA traffic to find 'The Joint' :shock: This was all as horrendous as it sounds :lol: We survived and got there about 30 mins before they were due to go on lol.



After having a quick chat and a few well deserved Southern Comforts it was show time :cool:

The sound that comes out of Marya's mouth for someone so tiny is amazing! . Usually at these sort of shows the sound is way too loud but this was perfect. Although my video doesn't seem to think so lol. I can't fault the show at all. It was very very cool to see John and Paul play with Marya. It was also very cool to get to see and meet Joey Vera. If I say so myself Marya is very lucky to have such an amazing band :cool: They were all having such great fun onstage, and seemed to all play so effortlessly, yet still play amazingly.

It was great to hear some of Marya's other songs. I'm really looking forward to seeing more from here soon. She is destined to make it big. And the couple of shows we saw in LA are the start of things to come.

After Marya's set, John and Paul were asked up to Jam with the next band. This was an unexpected highlight for me and Heather.

This was one of the longest days ever for us lol. But also one of the best ever :-D

Oh and the police in LA are very friendly and helpful lol

Steph, all police run ins were all driving related lol. And no I didn't do anything wrong :lol: Not that they know of anyway, you don't have as many cameras as we do :twisted:

We even had a police escort to one place we were going to lol.

Was that the only way they could figure out how to keep you on the right side of the road?? "Just follow us, Ma'am. And DO NOT cross that center double yellow line!"

I was alseep at the time so not really sure lol...

So some place has taken the HOB's crown as worst venue in the world then huh?

:DAt least we didn't have to get in a car AND drive it and find a venue lol. We just rolled out of the aiprort to the HOB lol. Into a hairdryer if I remember rightly :-P But I think both were left with not enough time between landing and show starting :lol: But at least when we did it we were both totally aware of the fact we might not make it. I really have no clue on gods earth what me and Heather were both thinking when we planned that bit lol. Another similarity was the getting changed for the show part lol. Oh actually no. I just remembered where I actually got changed when we went :oops:

Another time I thought of you this trip was at the Rio for breakfast lol. For many many reasons :-P Also when ever I saw one of them stupid casino things that you can't walk by :twisted: And the bridge from the Paradiso to the other hotel (which just happens to have started swaying :? ) And just about every other thing in Vegas actually :D

(mostly) Fond Memories of a fab trip! You should have got Rabe to drive down and meet you!

Yeah our trip to Vegas was one of my best trips yet :D I forgot Rabe lived close by :-( Could have done with some more anal probes lol

I tried explaining it to Heather lol, think she might of thought I was insane :oops: But as the saying goes. What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and it's true on sooo many levels lol.

I can only imagine the look on Heather's face as you tried to explain that one :lmao:

Sounds like you had a blast out there again! For someone who generally avoids the touristy places like that, I absolutely love Vegas and am mildy (understatement) jealous that you go out there again.

Yeah Vegas holds many many good memories of many Meaty friends and will always be somewhere I love :cool:

I wish we could go back in time. I miss LA and Vegas :( and I REALLY miss our car lol

Have been on the forum for Marya Roxx and its really good..i have now got hooked on Marya Roxx ,she is so talented...would love to go and see her live..

Thanks for saying this barb, sometimes its hard to get people to look beyoned the ML world but i agree completely, marya is very good, i also enjoy the forum aot, its nice to see you over there too :)
