Everything Louder

Does anyone think Meat will ever perform this song live again? Does anyone know Meat's own thoughts on this song? Has he ever spoken about it?

RSG 30 Apr 2009 21:34

Only Meat can really give a definitive answer, but I gotta say, like Bad For Good, its a 8 minute wall-to-wall vocal kinda song. I think it would be a reall struggle. I wish if Meat does continue to tour, he should sing some not so popular stuff with a couple of BOOH fix-ins.

RadioMaster 30 Apr 2009 21:38

it's a fast, explosive, powerful song. I honestly dont think he could pull off the song the way it should be. We've seen what happened to BfG.

AndyK 30 Apr 2009 23:48

I never thought we'd see Amnesty live again, so anything is possible, even if unlikely in this case.

mediameat 01 May 2009 00:38

On a similar note, has he ever performed "For Crying Out Loud" live on previous tours before? Such a fantastic song!!

RSG 01 May 2009 00:42

Live in Australia a live dvd froom 2004, he sings FCOL with an orchestra and guitar!

It was awsome to hear Amnesty again tbh... Neva heard it Live until August '08.... was quite something....

I have to agree, it would be cool to hear some of his back catalogue being used in the live show but I guess it depends on how he runs the show... what kinda theme he uses.

Like with the last tour, each song seemed to fit in with each other and into like a story of love and hate if you see what I mean ;-)

you make a very good point mr king

allrevvedup 03 May 2009 20:29

I love the Bat II version...there's a version on the anything for love single which is pretty crap really.

So at this stage in Sir Loaf's career i wouldn't want him to do it live...the best version of amnesty for me is the live version from the beacon theatre ...which i heard the version of it in 1996 in dublin..

Wario 05 May 2009 23:12

Well from the 1993 live track of the AFL single, no way. But their is a recording out their thats alsome where it leads into DRFL. Dunno, mabey it will surface, be interesting to hear a sax beat added in. Much prefer him to do GGGTH or Modern Girl at this stage

Evil One 06 May 2009 01:06

I don't think there's any chance of Good Girls. That really is non stop vocals all the way through. Modern Girl would be good, but Meat doesn't seem to like it.

how so? he said during a certain birmingham recording "I liek that song"

He even stated his affection for the bad attitude tracks (Naming "Bad Attitude", "Modern Girl", "Jumping The Gun" and "POTA") in his autobiography saying they were great songs on a poorly produced and rushed album

RadioMaster 06 May 2009 08:42

rule #1: never take anything the loaf says on stage seriously
rule #2: Especially when said stage performance was 21 years ago

besides, it's quite likely he changed his mind about some songs in two decades. 1988 was just three years after the release of BA, that would be as long ago as the bat3 release is to this year.
when was the last time he performed a song off BA last time anyway? guess it must have been at some point during the storytellers tour.

I believe this is it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbQ-BX-IXIw

Wario 07 May 2009 04:40

yes thats the one. Wished that was on LATW or something, pretty kickass performance

dukesofhazard 07 May 2009 20:06

There was (don't know if it's still there) a different live version of Everything Louder on iTunes with a Bat Out Of Hell Live album (the same one that came with the recent anniversary addition of Bat 2).

That version of Everything Louder is the complete song and better than the version off Anything for love single and probably as good as the Cardiff version.

Only snag is that you couldn't get the song on it's own - had to buy the complete album as they're 'bonus' tracks - i did cos Everything Louder is one of my favourite songs. I'd be interested to see Meat do it live now - even if it wouldn't be as good as 15 years ago I'd just like see it performed.

Evil One 07 May 2009 20:56

I assume you're referring to this version? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvD7c...eature=related

dukesofhazard 07 May 2009 21:22

Nope. That is the one that was released on the single.

The one on iTunes is totally different & I haven't seen/heard it elsewhere which is why I bought the entire album to get it - the other bonus tracks on the live album on iTunes were Objects and Frying Pan, but these are the versions from Live Around The World.

Evil One 07 May 2009 21:28

Oooooooo! Tell me more!

dukesofhazard 07 May 2009 22:06

just checked iTunes and it seems it is still there - Bat Out Of Hell 2 for £11.99 - Get Bat 2, Bat 1 live and 6 songs from Bat 2 live including the rare ELTEE. There's a generous 20 second clip there too.

Evil One 07 May 2009 22:11

Is one song worth £11.99 though?

dukesofhazard 07 May 2009 22:19

I did it but then I do love that song - plus I couldn't tell if rock & roll dreams, frying pan and objects where the same as the ones on live around the world. Alas it turned out they were. It really is too bad they won't sell everything louder seperately.

RadioMaster 07 May 2009 22:35

just checked as well, and from the clip it definitely is NOT the AFL single version. The album info says it's the 2006 release of Bat2, and it includes the whole BOOH live cd, so I'm pretty sure this is the 3 disc CE we've got here, BUT it also includes live versions of Lemon, RNR Dreams, Frying Pan, Objects and this version of Everything Louder. If all the other songs are from LATW I have absolutely no idea where this is coming from. And why would anybody in charge add a single new track to a compilation that's only on itunes?
Has there been any promo of a special mp3 release in 06? i dont remember anything...

dukesofhazard 07 May 2009 22:58

I don't know where they got it from or why it was tacked onto that album. I only found out about it by chance last year.

But I seem to be the only one that has it

Evil One 08 May 2009 00:09

Would it be the same as this? http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B...455822-2630747

RadioMaster 08 May 2009 08:29

from the tracklist it appears so...but from the preview clip this version of Everything Louder appears to be the one from the AFL single...(at least to me)

Evil One 08 May 2009 21:56

Well I shall take a chance. 79p is far more acceptable than £11.99!

definitely sounds like a different and better version compared to the AFL single

Evil One 09 May 2009 00:48

Very nice. Definitely worth 79p! Sounds like it should have been on LATW. Maybe if lots of people buy it then there is a chance more 'lost' stuff will get released?

Those in charge: is there any way of making this discovery a bit more prominent? It would be a shame if other visitors to this site don't realise this exists.

Evil One 09 May 2009 13:26

It's also on Play.com for 70p! http://www.play.com/Music/MP3-Downlo...-/Product.html

Pirates tend to go for oil tankers nowadays

lorenzoduke 11 May 2009 13:46

RadioMaster 14 May 2009 09:13
