how are u going to celebrate the new year

how is everyone going to ring in the new year ?

plukie 24 Dec 2003 16:18

I'm going to be celebrating with my friends. We live next to the Dockyard in Plymouth and at midnight all the ships in port sound their sirens and set off fireworks. It's really brilliant.

Rob The Badger 24 Dec 2003 16:32

I shall be lying in the phetal position, alone, in my room; listening to old Beatles/Smiths/Bowie/Police LP's on my brand new turntable whilst crying my eyes out. . .that's about it really. I can't imagine it being much better. . .happy new year everyone.

DIZZY DRUMMER 24 Dec 2003 16:53

I'm going to be boring, as my husband working last.

So I will be either watching tv & having a few drinks or on the net, having a few drinks and listening to loud music.

merry xmas Everyone :D

Last year spent it in local pubs with best mate dressed as a doctor - did we have fun or what :D :lmao:  Great

black dog 24 Dec 2003 17:26

I think I will be at the local pub. We'll have a few drinks and see what happens. It sounds like you will have a good time in Plymouth plukie. Are the fireworks as good as the ones they set off at the Firework Championship? We usually manage to get over for at least one day of those. Well worth the trip from Bude.

Tim 24 Dec 2003 20:51

I'm not going to celebrate it. I hate it.

Em 24 Dec 2003 20:54

Hey Tim, how can you hate it before its happened. This year hasn't all been good for me but nothing will stop me hoping that next year will be better. Don't kill hope.

shadow1000001 24 Dec 2003 21:19

Since I know that I am already starting to get sick, I will probably be in bed with a hot toddy and a good book :D

ladyloaf69 24 Dec 2003 22:32

how would u all celebrate it if meat was with you

Bren 24 Dec 2003 23:02

I don't celebrate New Year

We usually go out as a family New Years Day, for a long walk..it is always so very peaceful, nobody but nobody about, because everyone else was out celebrating tthe night before

Just like Christmas ... all by myself and doing nothing special.

Vicki

Chris 24 Dec 2003 23:52

Normally a few of us meet up for dinner and a few glasses of wine.

However, this year, most of the others are on holiday so I will be chilling out.

Someone wonderful sent me an early Christmas present of the DVD Trapped so I am gonna chill out with that and a bottle of Jack Daniels!

CarylB 28 Dec 2003 00:54

Quietly probably .. but remembering that last year I celebrated it at a Meat concert :)

BadAttitude 28 Dec 2003 10:18

I usually spend New Year's Day honoring my brother who died from cancer at the age of 10 1/2 years old, as New Year's Day is his birthday.
So I will spend New Years Day quietly remembering and honoring him.

6 of us will be going to our local Irish Pub, to be sure a fun filled, thirsty night of frolics and mayhem. Within walking distant too so no worries about getting home, it's just the gardens we pass and fall into I'm worried about
