Anyone up for increasing the ammount users online at once, at the mo its 500 so how about 17/10/06 at 8pm we all pile on here to talk about RAH gig

That's a stupid idea. There is no reason for it and the amount of people who have mentioned this in the past just makes me want to cringe. The majority of people online is usually occupied by guests anyway.

Yes, it's true, the majority online are various spybots and guests

Also, don't think we can get 500 people here at 8 pm today since a lot will be traveling already.

And don't know if this server can handle so much pressure...

So, yes, a lot of us probably will be online...but let's not make it an organized event to bring this server down...

It would have been good to all go in the chatroom and have a good chin wage about the gig , but i guess that as the idea is stupid you wont be on here on tues chatting about the gig.

Also having been a web desinger it would be a fairly poor server to not handle 500+ users

How is calling the idea stupid the same as calling you stupid? It's a bit like saying "I don't like the song 'Bat Out Of Hell'" then claiming that I hate Meat Loaf as a result.

I do have a lack of manners and i'm sorry it makes you cringe. However, my lack of manners was only as a result of your cringe worthy comment.

This is not personally directed at anyone, but I seem to recall that around the time that their were 500 users online here, there was an extreme amount of spybot activity on many sites. So the 500 number isn't an actual count of actual people using the board - but just computer hits by other computers (is that the right way to put that).

But it would be interesting to know what the actual highest "real person" count at one time was. Obviously with RAH and all the other things going on activity in general is going to be up.

You're not wrong...it just takes time to become true member here...this site was driving me to tears for a month or so...once I persevered...I have great many friends here...

Actually, I am not going...so if you're around...we can hold hands and cry to each other...and post away...I was moderated more times than I remember in the first 2 months...but people here ARE great...and this is a great site once you get a hang of it and figure out the rules.

It's a private site so they do have rules...and sooner or later you will see the light and start following them...that's all...easy....
