Which song do you wish had a live version released?

Meat has not released many official recordings of concerts. Which song do you wish had a proper recording available?

Surf's Up!

Evil One 08 Jun 2009 19:10

In before I'd even finished! I voted for Bad For Good, but I'd love to hear all of them!

Based on the song titles available DIST from the CHSIB tour. Alternatively Surf's Up, although that's a non-realistic dream really isn't it?

Did I Say That

RadioMaster 08 Jun 2009 21:13

I'd go for IGLHFBOU, but being pedantic as I am, that song had an official release, just not digital. (Wembley live VHS)
So I go for Pigs.

AndrewG 08 Jun 2009 21:29

Did I Say That?, Surf's Up, Ill Kill You, One More Kiss or Execution Day. Or preferably all of these...

meatloaf-unofficial 08 Jun 2009 21:36

I'd love to see What About Love, though it won't happen , but we can dream!! lol...

Did I say that? (cool arrangement) would be awsome to have along with Land Of The Pigs and Forever Young too (liked that song)

greg 08 Jun 2009 21:38

THIS HAS TO BE JUST WONT QUIT:-):-):-):-)

Wario 08 Jun 2009 21:53

I'd say Special girl from the BBIS Tour. Freaking great

I chose to ignore that on account of it being shit!

Not A Dry Eye In The House from the Born To Rock tour would be the one I'd most like to get the official release treatment, but an official release of any of the listed songs would suffice alot.

Pudding 08 Jun 2009 23:31

I'm going to go alng with Duke Knooby and Monstro and say Surf's Up

samurai7 08 Jun 2009 23:34

I'd have to say Surf's Up too. And I'd be quite eager to hear anything else from th 1985-1991 live period that we haven't heard yet, because I love his voice in that era, and Bob Kulick's guitar work.

batcity 08 Jun 2009 23:37

i guess the lost boys and golden girls tour tops the lot, i would have loved him to release that live, but hey my best meat loaf concert I ever went to was the birmingham 88 show (went with my dad).. no show has topped it for me yet...

For crying out loud 08 Jun 2009 23:49

johnny b good and river deep, mountain high from 1978!!! (in germany, i think) it's fantastic :D

MeatGrl1 09 Jun 2009 00:52

Wish I could pick two, I'm Gonna Love Her For Both Of Us & Read 'Em And Weep, difficult but I opted for the first !!
Not a huge fan of Surf's Up if I'm being honest.

Your gonna get jumped by every other user on here, you know that? lol

MeatGrl1 09 Jun 2009 01:24

Yes I am aware of that but then this is a forum and a discussion, if we all liked the same thing the world would be a pretty boring place !

i actually forgot to mention i agreed with you. Surf's up isnt a fav either lol

How true. What is also lacking on this list is Special Girl and the old popcorn blizzard/stoney and meatloaf tour stuff

As I'm aware popcorn blizzard performed GIMMIE SHELTER at some point (Imagine meats vocals in 1969 on gimmie shelter) and I think a live version of heavy as jesus is in order:D

And you base that knowledge on what information exactly?

(And as far as I'm aware, Popcorn Blizzard split up halfway through '69, while Let It Bleed was released in December of that year.)

I say Surf's Up also. Luv cx
