HOW do you address a man who has chosen to go by the name Meat Loaf?

That’s the question running through my mind as I wait to speak to the original bat out of hell. Meat? Mr Loaf? Mr Meat Loaf?

I needn’t have worried.

“Call me Meat,” booms the king of the overblown ballad, anticipating my question. “It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
