back when TMIL was released in 2006, there was a magazine about top guilt pleasures. Meat Loaf & Jim Steinman BOOH was number one ;)

I for one don't think that Meat Loaf and Garth Brooks are guilty pleasure's. Why feel guilty for liking either one? My guilty pleasure is someone like Savage Garden or Tina Turner :D

Nothing wrong with Tina Turner either really. Impressive she's still going at her age.

You're right there's absolutely nothing wrong with Tina Turner and she looks great to be 70.

Why would anyone feel guilty about listening to anything they damn well like to listen to? I listen to lots of stuff, and there's nothing there that I'd label as a 'guilty pleasure,' as I don't feel guilty about liking what I like.

i think the key word is peer pressure.

There's a difference between a guilty pleasure and a shameful pleasure!

And in the example quoted regarding Westlife, no pleasure at all.

O, well, maybe I'm just not insecure enough to be bothered by what other people feel I shouldn't listen to.

I listen to some Westlife stuff and don't feel ashamed. I'd feel ashamed listening to it and denying it.
