had a BBQ today, was really nice n relaxin, i suggest it to anyone who is stressed. Nothin like sittin there with your burger or hot dog (wot eva) n listenin to Meat in the garden for all the neighbours to hear!!! :lol:

Last year in August it was......
Had a lot of fun, had loads of friends over could hardly fit everyone in the garden, and yes you guessed it, it started raining......

We continued under our car-port. Was something like 5 am when the last person left.

Had a bellyache the next day, from laughing almost the entiry party..

Guess I have to do it again SOON....
Already having fun, starting the planning right now :lol:

We had one last Friday, to celebrate my son's "graduation" from kindergarten, my sister-in-law's actual high school graduation and to celebrate the end of school for everyone else. My husband went to chef's school and he is a professional baker, so there was lots of great food. After the old f*arts left, we played ML videos of of the Meatloaf.de site and everyone enjoyed CHSIB.

We haven't had our major bbq yet - We normally have a huge bbq during the summer holidays, there'll be dancing on the patio, free flowing booze, lots of lovely food with hubby doing the cooking, lots of laughter normally about the rocky horror show, someone always suggests dressing as transvestites, um don't no where they get that idea from :lol: I'm certainly not one, We play loads of motown and do our supremes and four tops thing all falling about. We have candles scattered around the garden and the atmostphere is absolutely magic, you never want it to end. At our last one someone called the noise line at 2.00am (was rather late I suppose) to complain about the singing not the music, don't make sense to me, but roll on the next one.

Nice one dottie. there was no booze at mine. :(

im a strange individual, but then agen we all are on here!! :lol:

This post must have inspired me, because we had another one tonight! Hot dogs and chicken on the grill, yum! Plus we got out the slip'n slide (do you have those in Europe? It's a slick sheet of plastic that you run water on and kids slide about in the yard) for some cheap entertainment since we don't have a pool. (Many people in Florida do, we are the only ones on our street without one!)

we just get an old sheet of plastic out squirt fairly liquid on it n then put freezin cold water on it. its a very funny site when sum1 hits it for the first time :twisted:
