MissAsh 20 Apr 2010 16:45

Wow. I particularly like the photos which include lightning but they're all pretty awesome. Thanks for posting!

allrevvedup 20 Apr 2010 16:49

i'm just thinking (rare for me so stay with me!) is it a good or bad time to be known as Miss Ash?:D

K1ttycat 20 Apr 2010 16:54

Great photos - I especially like the one where the farmer is leading home his two horses....

Speaking of "ash" we adopted a new rabbit a week ago Monday before all of this started and his name was "Ash". Friends were trying to get us to admit that we named him that after the volcano events...so now we renamed him Toffee! :)

Well it's a good thing I have a sense of humour, put it that way! Haven't heard so many puns/jokes etc about my name since the Pokémon craze when I was in school!

Sarge 20 Apr 2010 18:23

Just dump a big ice cube in there and we can get going again. What's the problem?! Lol.
Amazing photos. Love the one of the road and the big ash cloud in the background as if the road leads to the unknown.

PanicLord 20 Apr 2010 23:27

Truly amazing pictures. Don't think they'd have repaired the roads that quickly if it happened here ;)

Skeleton 21 Apr 2010 09:27

It shows how tiny we are against the forces of nature..

Funniest quote re the closing of airports in the UK. An American tourist on being told all flights back to the US were cancelled becaue of clouds of volcanic ash in the stratosphere said "Does this apply to Business Class passengers?"

Amazing pictures. It is odd to think that this event that has been so disruptive/destructive can yield such spectacular images.
