So sad. He is a music legend who will be greatly missed.

A Slice Of English 19 Jun 2011 07:49

Damn that sucks. You could always rely on Clarence for some kick-ass brass on a Bruce track. RIP big man.

AndyK 19 Jun 2011 11:16

A true hero.

They'll make a change in heaven now the Big Man's joined the band!

Rock In Peace Clarence.

AndrewG 19 Jun 2011 13:36

Rest in peace Big Man, a true rock and roll hero, a lover of life, people and music, the only three things which really matter.

The Flying Mouse 19 Jun 2011 14:47

 RIP.
Gabe's horn section just got that little bit more awesome.

Clarence Clemons R.I.P.

It is with great sadness today that I learnt of the passing of Clarence Clemons Saxophinist with the E Street Band.. I had the pleasure of seeing Clarence at Earls Court with The Boss and the original members of the E Street Band some years ago..

Go watch "The Sun aint going to Shine any more" by Clarence on You Tube...

Truly magnificient...

Just like Dizzy Giilespie, Clemons was a name any true music lover knew.

RIP!

RIP Clarence, you were amazing, I loved watching you play and the band will not ever be the same without you.

Just devasting, I feel lucky and honoured to have seen Clarence as many times as we did, the world will be a lesser place without the Big Man :(

Very sad, had not long finished his autobiography and it does go into great length as to how close he and Springsteen were.

It did also document how much pain he had been in between the knee, hip and back operations.

This was very very sad...Will be missed and remembered for many years to come.
