It does seem odd, but I've seen many complain that they couldn't access things on their mobiles which were blocked .. but then find they can view them on their computers when they get home.

 I remember when Meat did the Australian shows that year.
A few of us were chatting in the shout box, and somebody mentioned that Meat would just be going on stage about now (this was about 9:00am in England).
Although it was pretty early for that kind of thing, fridges were raided, beers were poured, and we all put some Meat Loaf on and had a minin party n the shout box lol.
Good times 8)

Yes - superb DVD.

"Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad" is my mom's favourite song from this DVD  (Melbourne).

I absolutely adore the CD and DVD.

For me, this performance is how those songs were meant to sound. After all, they're the perfect kind of songs for an orchestra and Meat's rich vocals go with that perfectly.

I was gutted about a year ago when my computer decided that it didn't want to play the DVD any more but thankfully I have a replacement and I can enjoy my favourite show again. :D

Yup,

this one needs to be remastered though for BluRay :D

I wonder if Meat came up with the great orchestra idea because of the Night of the Proms tour, he did in 2001.

There I first heard the great way some of the songs were performed with a orchestra. Especially Home by Now was really impressive. I remember telling a friend Meat should do a complete concert this way... ...and so he did a few years later :cool:

Actually, in the Netherlands we have an annual concert called Symphonica in Rosso, where a perdormer fills a stadium 3 nights performing his/her best songs with a symphonica orchestra. In the past Diana Ross, Lionel Ritchie and some of the best Dutch singers have done the show. Meat would very much fit this concept 10 years after Melbourne :D

I doubt it happens but boy would his music be perfect for Symphonica in Rosso

Evil One 05 Mar 2014 14:51

I still contend that the DVD would have been just as good without the orchestra.

I really love this dvd!
