Hi, Beerman! Loved your post. But you know, it got me thinking....and I hope this isn't too far off-topic....

In the other thread, we, women (with husbands and boyfriends) are all chatting about how crazy we are for Meat and how gorgeous and sexy he is. And yet, the men here are not, as yet, picking up on THIS thread about admiring beautiful women and adding much to it.

I have a feeling (but I'm not absolutely positive) that your response may, indeed, be typical. So, I was wondering what everyone thought about the idea that men might be more lenient about their women being in fandom for another man like Meat, than women are for their men who wish to be involved in a fandom for another woman like Patti.

Did that make sense?? :? Now, you've got me curious if this is true. Are we woman luckier and can participate more freely than our male counterparts because of their willingness to accept this.... :??:

Just curious, based on your response and lack of others. It'll be interesting to hear what everyone has to say...
