The Rare Songs: 14. Who is The Leader Of The People?

This is probably the first and last time I will ever say this, but I like Edwin
Starrs version of this song a little better than Meats. Because Meats has the Stoney verses edited out so it doesn't make a lot of sense. Why did Motown do this before they released this on the reissue???

I do like the music and Meats presence in the song though, it has a fast soul temptations beat to it.

Meats version: 6.5/10
Starrs version: 7/10

Nothing much to say. Perhaps the worst song on the album. I don't like it.

3/10

This is the "rockest" song!
It's only rock 'n' roll (but I like it) - sung by Mick Jagger.
Yes, it is. Good!

My score: 6

A sort of protest song which had great potential

Like Meatles I don't believe we have the finished song here.

Despite this I still like the version Motown put together for the re-release though I suspect it could have been so much better with the extra lyrics

7/10

 Quite a good song.
Funky beat (I think the instrumental is funny)and a chorus you can't help singing along to.
6/10 Meat is the leader.
