Imagine...and and the self hanky used for over 30 years....that wouldnt be just smelling a bit...that thing would rot itself away through his fingers...

Ugh! Don't even want to think where that first scarf might have ended up.

I imagine it'll be well and truely lost, left behind at a venue or a hotel room, thrown into the crowd...it was hardly precious cargo to watch over at the time was it!!

All I know is that I've been through about 20 in the last 5 years or so. People keep stealing them as mementos of the evening. I always get women coming up and asking iff they can have 'the red scarf' as a keepsake. I used to have it tied to the mic stand before I came out on the stage, but invariably when I get out there someone's half-inched the bloody thing, and then I get all angry and start shouting the place down. I used to carry 3 reds, two blacks and two whites with me at all times. Now I'm down to just one red, and it's getting very tatty. Must get some new stock this week, methinks. :D
