That was my last film too (before the rumours start, not with Mick Loaf
).
I would agree that in terms of character development and sheer quality, Bryan Singer's influence is sorely missed.
However, it is after all a comic book movie, and it features some superb action scenes, and is more "spectacular" than the previous 2.
Thoroughly recommend it.
