It's quality against HD-DVD was something of speculation at first because it was using the standard MPEG-2 standard , but is now switching to the VC-1 codec, just like HD-DVD, and can hold more info than HD-DVD. Both formats are pretty impressive but Blu-ray will win the day. And any of Meat's stuff on this format will be superb.
