Nice to hear your opinions
I too am a Salvador Dali fan, he is one of the artists i admire.
Lowry, has a very unique style and as you say there is somuch in his work but he is not a favourite of mine.
There is a concert hall a few miles from where i live, has Henry Moore sculptures in the grounds, they look very dramatic in that particular setting
Tracey Emin i am not a fan of( she was at college with my sister)i don't ,personally consider things like exhibiting her bed, as art.
Likewise, Damien Hirsts work, especially the cows ,does nothing for me, it's more a question of doing something different to shock...i think...but art?.
You mentioned the Cathedral in Coventry as being an interesting building.....the "new" cathedral in Liverpool i always thought was an amazing building, i lovedthe light through the stained glass....the whole design of thebuilding is just really different ...i used to visit it often
