I'm not sure how long the season is for DFTL ... but, from what I've heard, Rick Springfield sang his new single at the end of the show last week. So maybe they're going to show Meat's episode sometime later on in the season (this spring perhaps) when he'll have a single ready to promote at the end of the show. IMO it would make a lot of sense with the new CD coming out.
Of course it all comes down to the people at FOX Network. But I wouldn't say they postponed Meat's episode for "something better" like Penn & Teller

so youre saying he should promote a single in spring 09, when the album will probably be released in spring 10, when the show has been recorded in autumn 08?
