There is one very pointless scene in the movie which involved Patrick falling down a hole into a lake with the grate closing in on him and at the last minute he gets the wheel thing to turn before being crushed... Don't get that bit, think they ran out of things to do
!! Though many have said that the sword fighting in the cemetry is also pointless but that has more of a point than the falling down a hole and nearly drowning and getting crushed
