There was such an elevator (paternoster) at the university at which I studied. The building in which it was located does no longer exist. The videos make me a little nostalgic. I think there was an attempt to put all paternosters in Germany out of service a few years ago but it failed. Fortunately - otherwise we wouldn't have gotten those funny videos.
Does anybody know which building it is in? I assume it's "Haus des Rundfunks" but Meat says the elevator is from 1978. As far as I know, West Germany has not allowed new paternosters to be put into operation since the middle of the 1970s.
I think it's probably older. Does anybody have further info?
