Meat himself told us there was a storyline running through the show and linking the songs .. He designed it, and imo it was pretty clear.
Yes, it was obviously an opportunity for Patti to do a splendid solo, and it fitted right in with the storyline.

I don't believe you saw the show did you? I did. No need to heap some kind of spurious scorn on those of us who did see shows, followed the storyline, and could see and appreciate Meat's acting skills.
