For me it was when Storytellers came out.
I was working at the University, and stopped at Best Buy on the way home to pick up the new Weird Al CD at the time (Running With Scissors).
While I was there, I saw the Storytellers CD sitting on the shelf on one of the endcaps.
I had heard of Meat Loaf before, but had never listened to his music ... I was curious, so I picked up the CD. I played it in my car on the way home, and then I couldn't stop listening to it
When I saw Meat and Patti sing Paradise on tv, I was hooked. I can still remember yelling at the tv when they went to commercial in the middle of the song
After the DVD came out, I used to go home for lunch every day (I only lived 10 minutes from work) just to watch Meat singing Rock 'N Roll Dreams
Unfortunately I didn't go to the Storytellers tour. My first Meat concert was at AC in September 2001, which was also (thanks to Vee) the first time I met Meat. It a great night, something I'll never forget
