Yes this has been discussed before and I can see why people would want him inducted in there. I think some people have this plea included in their signature too.
I think inductees in the RNR hall of fame mostly get in there based on their popularity in the States, so given the fact Meat has been more successful in Europe and beyond hasn't helped him with this probably. Also there is only a short list of people inducted each year and it's only been going for 25 years + note many artists only get inducted when they are no more (George Harrison for example). I'm not saying that is what SHOULD happen but it is often the case people don't notice things until they are gone. I think the fact that Michael Jackson didn't get inducted till 2001 is a good example of this as he was well beyond his peak popularity by then as is the case with many others in the list so far.
It would be great if it were to happen but we as fans can't do much about it really.
Bit bizarre Abba were inducted this year, wouldn't exactly call their music Rock and Roll.
Who knows it may still happen.
Personally I'd like to see Meat Loaf AND Jim Steinman (non performer category) get inducted in the same year.
